I have a cool old power hacksaw for sale. My best guess is 1910-ish. It comes with a couple new blades. I replaced some bushings on it and it works good. Drive pulleys are a little wobbly from being bored terribly. I wanted to make a couple flat belt pulleys for it but I just bought a metal lathe and need to make some space. Search E.C. Description: This vintage Black& Decker Portable Band Saw(Porta-Band) is good working order and it comes with 5 blades. Including 3 unused Porter Cable blades. For some reason the original owner painted the saw black, but its obvious that this is a B&D model based on the octagon shaped outline where the B&D logo sticker would be and the Hi/Lo speed selection switch. This saw is clean and there are no issues with the trigger switch or power cord. Besides the paint, the only other minor cosmetic flaw is the small crack on the shield near the throat opening. As you can see in pic#7, this crack is barely noticeable and it does not affect the performance of the saw or create any potential safety issues. In addition to the saw, I am also including 5 blades. One of the blades is already installed on the saw. Another blade appears to ... morehave been used sparingly; it is still very sharp but there is some surface rust from it being stored. The other 3 blades are unused Porter Cable Blades that are still in their original box. All of these blades are 44-7/8” 14 TPI. They are Porter Cable Cat No. 45275-1. Despite the fact these blades are unused new-old stock there is some very minor surface spots of surface rust on the blades from them being stored dry over an extended period of time. This is typical with NOS band saw blades and not really a big deal, but something I wanted to point out. These band saws were made in the era when Black& Decker took pride in building industrial quality tools that would last forever.
