Runs strong with good working on off switch and good working 2 speed switch. Saw itself is 19 1/2" long by 7" wide. Serial 12082 It has a previous owners id numbers engraved in it at several places. I think the previous owner rebuilt it at one time as there are several pieces of paperwork that read rebuild kit-install all parts supplied. I didn't see anything chipped.Cracked or broken on the machine but it is possibly missing some sort of guard. Wiring has been electrical taped at 2 spots. Comes with some spare parts, directions and part number list and the case. Also a bottle of band saw gear lubricant. Description: This vintage Black& Decker Portable Band Saw(Porta-Band) is good working order and it comes with 5 blades. Including 3 unused Porter Cable blades. For some reason the original owner painted the saw black, but its obvious that this is a B&D model based on the octagon shaped outline where the B&D logo sticker would be and the Hi/Lo speed selection switch. This saw is clean and there are no issues with the trigger switch or power cord. Besides the paint, the only other minor cosmetic flaw is the small crack on the shield near the throat opening. As you can see in pic#7, this crack is barely noticeable and it does not affect the performance of the saw or create any potential safety issues. In addition to the saw, I am also including 5 blades. One of the blades is already installed on the saw. Another blade appears to ... morehave been used sparingly; it is still very sharp but there is some surface rust from it being stored. The other 3 blades are unused Porter Cable Blades that are still in their original box. All of these blades are 44-7/8” 14 TPI. They are Porter Cable Cat No. 45275-1. Despite the fact these blades are unused new-old stock there is some very minor surface spots of surface rust on the blades from them being stored dry over an extended period of time. This is typical with NOS band saw blades and not really a big deal, but something I wanted to point out. These band saws were made in the era when Black& Decker took pride in building industrial quality tools that would last forever. BLACK & DECKER 3934 Type 2 PROFESSIONAL 14" CHOP SAW
Saw runs fine not sure how good it cuts as I did not have any steel to try it on. The blade that is on it wore out so it will need a new blade. Part of clamping fixture is missing( see pictures)
