Vintage - Sears CRAFTSMAN 10" RADIAL ARM SAW - Roll-Around Cabinet - Runs Great
VINTAGE CRAFTSMAN 10" RADIAL ARM SAW& Brand New Industrial Quality Carbide Tipped Saw Blade. ITEM DESCRIPTION: My brother passed away last November. This saw was in his cellar. I don't know anything about it other than what I've discovered for myself. It looked like it hadn't been used in a while. The roll-around base was quite rusty so I wire brushed the loose rust and painted it with gray Rustoleum. I also did a lot of cleaning and lubricating to the saw. It's a vintage Sears. Craftsman 10" Radial Arm Saw, model#113.23100. I brought home what I could find of the table. It's just a piece of thick particle board with 1/4" luan plywood stuck to it and should probably be replaced. I was able to download a copy of the original owners manual as shown. The saw operates fine and the motor runs great! It originally ... morecame wired for 110 volts but can be rewired for 220 use if desired. The motor tag states Part#63503. 120/240 Volts, 11.0/5.5 Amps, 3450 RPM, 1 Phase and Model KS48DD-174. What it doesn't mention is the motor HP! Strangely, it's not stamped on the motor tag, on the saw or in the owner's manual. The Carriage Lock Knob was broken off so I epoxied on a wooden knob(photo 5) Also. One of the rear access plate retaining screws was snapped off sometime during the saw's life(photo 8) There's also some rust on the cabinet's drawer fronts and the blade wrenches are missing. Unlike Craftsman tools(and everything else) of today. These older machines were designed to last a long time! I'd love to keep this saw for myself but I simply don't have the room!
