Cuckoo Shelf clock early to mid 1800s. double FUSEE
German. Double train FUSEE(wooden plates) Very collectible. 1800's rare Black ForestShelf Cuckoo clock. possibly made by Beha. The case is very detailed and carved with a shingled roof. The size is 16"tall by 10 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" deep. The clock gongs and cuckoos on the hour and half hour. With split cuckoo door(very rare) see video The clock is in Proper running order; it has been rebuilt by fox valley time center. The minute hand is made out of bone. But not the original. The HR hand is made out of celluloid and is not original; the suspension strap/spring appears to be the original. In the video there is a very clear shot of it. The pendulum leader and bob are not original. You can see in the pictures/ video the veneer on the side panels are flaking and some pieces are missing. It would be easy enough to replace the ... moreveneer on this side panels. But I chose to leave it in its original condition. Other then repairing the movement with great care which consists of polishing andstraighten any bent pivots/Arbors, and pressing out the old sleeves and turning them around and pressing them back in the wooden plates. I cannot tell you if the whistles are the originals or not. I have not seen enough for these clocks to honestly say. The bellows have been REwrapped. The only cleaning I have done is to clean the dust off with a soft paintbrush the back door on the cuckoo clock appears to be the original as well. This is a wonderful antique ornate wall shelf with unusual skilled craftsmanship and a victorian look. The wood is a darker wood- perhaps walnut or mahogany? The shelf is edged in an inlay of what appears to be three different colors of wood chips. On backside are two metal plates for wall hanging. Overall measurement is approximately: 19" length; 18" height; 7 1/2" depth. The scrolled back portion measures approx. 19" x 7 1/2" The little side panels measure approx. 5" x 2 3/4" Just the shelf portion measures 7 1/2" x 19" Below the shelf. The wall braces measure downward 9" with the brace's ornate section s extending downwar d 5 1/2" In the lower left corner of the back part of the shelf. It looks like one of the ornate tips had broken off and then reglued.not that noticeable. On ... morethe backside, there are a few wood splits- but with it being on the backside it not noticeable. This is a E.C. BREWSTER SHELF CLOCK madein Bristol Conn.The case measures 24 inches tall. 14-3/4 inches wide across the crown molding at the top. Case is 3-1/4 inches deep. The main case really looks good. The door has a couple of places where the veeneer is missing. You can see it in the 2 pictures of the door. The bottom glass is missing. The top glass looks good. The movement is spring driven. The clock ran for several days. I stopped it because it needs to be serviced. This would really be a nice clock to restore. I have tried to describe as best possible. Weight Driven Massachusetts Shelf Clock. Boston Circa 1815- 1820 made by Aaron Willard. The clock was formerly in the legendary collection of the late Anthony J. Sposato and was sold at his Estate Auction by Richard A. Bourne on October 29, 1985. This clock is also pictured in Horology American by Dworetsky& Dickstein and appears on page 44 of that book. I bought this clock at the auction in 1985 and sold it to a New Jersey collector immedialy after the sale. It has been in that private collection until earlier this week when we reacquired it. The mahogany case with a fine original finish and beautifully grained wood. There are 2 reverse glass tablets in the clock, the upper tablet signed"Aaron Willard Boston" with circular opening to a"dish" or concave painted irion dial. The lower tablet with mirrored center. The bottom tablet has an old wavy mirror and a restored reverse glass painted surround all backed by an old pine protective panel. The weight is original as are the feet and carved crest. All of the case parts and frames are numbered"786. Note the original dovetailed bottom board and protective weight board. The hood retains its original dial surround with undisturbed glue blocking& hide glue the typical"red wash" on the front side that is original as well. There is a small missing piece of the dial mask on the right side as shown in the photos. The frames are made of pine with a mahogany veneer and in one of the photos you can see how the corners are joined using a"spline. The movement has been professionally serviced and the clock runs and keeps perfect time. The painted iron dial is original and the pendulum is original as well. The clock comes with its original winding crank.

This is an Antique 1850's Seth Thomas 30hr weight driven Gilt Column Mantle or shelf Clock in FANTASTIC CONDITION. It has both original weights and winder which are appropriate for the time and style clock. It has the original glass(very wavy) and the old zinc dial shows VERY little wear and great paint still. The reverse painting on the bottom glass of the yellow bird and flowers is in near mint cond. as you can see( VERY RARE) The case is a beautiful mahogany veneer with. Jenny Lind Wooden Trunk with Compartment Shelf
This is a grand old Jenny Lind Travel Trunk that is made of pine wood and has iron latches and support strips. The trunk is a copy of the old Jenny Lind travel type made famous by her. The trunk is dated about 1940 or so. It has been reconditioned as there is slight discoloration in hidden places. The truck is wonderful. It's strong and sturdy ready to haul heavy items or simply to store blankets and such. The trunk is naturally distressed all over, there are cracks in the wood that lend to its beauty and charm. The trunk measures 14 inches tall, 26 inches from side to side and it has a 4 inch top lid that opens to reveal a 3 1/2 inch tall pull out shelf. Unusual Petite Early 1900's Antique French Marti Era Mantle Mantel Shelf Clock

Please scroll to the bottom of the pictures and read the terms under our last picture. This is another clock from the estate of a collector that we have been selling for the last 6 weeks or so. What makes this clock different is the petite size. It measures 13 3/4" wide. 3 1/8" deep and the dial is only a 3 1/2" diameter, including the case it's about a 5" diameter. Cute as a button! This is a French clock in a mahogany case. The movement is signed"Made In France" has a lion stamped on to it and just to the right of the lion are the letters" H& H" There are other markings on the clock but I think those are from the repairman. The dial is ... moremarked France as well. The dial may be porcelain and is covered with a bevel glass convex glass bezel. The movement is sitting a little crooked inside the case as the 12 is not centered as shown. The solid mahogany case is nicely scrolled but there are dings and scrapes which should be clearly evident in the pictures. This clock rests on little brass ball feet. I cannot get this clock to run. I do not have the key so I took a pair of needle nose pliers and carefully wound the clock a little to check to see if it runs. Antique 1800's Waterbury Mantel/Shelf Beehive Clock
This auction is for an antique Waterbury clock. It was refinished and it is a warm cherry color. It has a very nice patina and would make a nice project for someone or just a nice decorative piece. It is complete with all the clock works and a pendulum. It does not include a key. I have had this clock for about 15 years. I think it worked in the past but I haven't wound it in about 5 years. I tried it today and it would not work. The chime did work fine by manually turning the hands. The pendulum just slowed to a stop after starting it. I'm not at all an expert on clocks and it could be something as simple as an oiling. There is some veneer missing and it was just stained over. There is also a small piece missing towards the top back of the clock. The face has some flaking also. Part of the label is still visible on the back and you ... morecan see it is a Waterbury. It is also stamped on the movement. The hinge is also slightly bent and needs some TLC. It could probably be rebent with a pair of plyers to close better.
