WW2 Brass Canadian Military Navy Spotting Telescope-Artillery Gunnery Birding
You are bidding on a WWII Naval telescope with fitted mahogany box. One tag appears to say the model is a APG361 serial number 643. The description may be Telescope Monocular. Or something similar. I don't know much about it. Very solidly made, all brass and weighs about 15 lb. The front with the hole in it cover comes off. I suppose it is to cut down on the light on bright days. There are 5 filters of various density and color that can be rotated in fromt of the eyepiece. If you look through the eyepiece, it gives a very clear magnified view with crosshairs. There is a small allen wrench included which fits the smaller unpainted knob. I don't know what that knob does. The big knob is a cover that comes off. The front cover is a molded celluloid with a beautiful image of the Battleship in the center and embossed flower and flourish designs at the corners.
