1986 Kneissl White Star Pro Masters tennis racquet 4 1/2 rare super clean
Iconic 1980’s racquet. The evolutionary update of the racquet that got Ivan Lendl started, and the model that fared quite well in professional play in the hands of Helena Sukova, Kevin Curren, Horst Skoff, and many others. This specimen sports the 1986-only graphic(which I think is the best looking) And is much cleaner and in better condition than what is normally seen. Graphite-Fiberglass-Kevlar composite. Made in Austria. Grip is its original“Topstar” leather. In nice condition(but admittedly with one smallish cut from a fingernail) size L4 or 4-1/2” This racquet shows rather light head rash wear typical of bumperless frames of the era. But has no cracks or structural issues. Head rash is very shallow- not through to hollow center as is often seen on this model nowadays. Boston 3 Star NE Ultra Cornet 1885 with 2 Cases(Original and Pro Getzen Case)
Please find an excellent condition vintage 1885 Boston Musical Instrument Manufactory 3Star NE Ultra Bb/A cornet. This gorgeous instrument comes with 2 cases. The original and a brand new custom deluxe Getzen cornet case befitting this beauty. The Getzen case has an interior snap open compartment for music storage as well as a storage compartment below the instrument. Also included are 2 cornet short shank cornet mouthpieces. One I believe is the original but does not have a name on it. The other is a vintage HN White cornet mouthpiece. Both are in good condition. Personally I think this instrument plays best utilizing a Bach 3C short shank cornet mouthpiece. The Boston 3Star NE Ultra cornet is the only turn of the century American cornet that is universally recognized as a superior instrument. The Boston"NE Plus Ultra" cornet, ... moreknown casually as a"Boston Three Star" The serial number on this horn is 8544, putting the date of manufacture at 1885 and is from the"golden era" of Boston instruments popular with players and collectors alike. This particular wrap and design was so incredibly popular, it was made without any changes in the design from the mid 1880's through mid teens, and was played by some of the biggest names in the cornet world including the man himself, Herbert L. Clarke. In fact, it was the first cornet he ever purchased for himself. The horn has been chem cleaned and thoroughly cleaned inside and out. All dings and dents were removed. A small wear patch has been placed just in front of the 3rd valve casing on the underside of the bell. You really have to look closely to find it the repair was so finely done, please see picture showing same. The Wilson Oversize ProStar is a great racquet and you can tell that someone enjoyed playing with this one. There are many scratches on the rim. Especially concentrated in a 10-inch section at the top(pictures) I have taken close-ups of the scratched area so take a look and you should have a good idea about the rim condition. Beyond this heavily scratched section, there are scattered scratches on the rest of the rim(see the last picture) The strings are tight and all intact. This one has been expertly cared for, and is the next best thing to going back in time and buying one new. The trumpet is in tip top mechancial condition as well, with all slides free and smooth. Bell is nice and straight and the leadpipe is in perfect condition. There's no major dents on this horn(I can only find a few tiny shallow dings in the trumpet) and there's no damage anywhere. All original genuine Olds Super Star. I would easily rate it a 9.5+ out of 10. This trumpet has obviously been babied its whole life and well loved. The bell of this trumpet is engraved with"OLDS SUPER STAR FULLERTON, CALIF. and the receiver is engraved with"ULTRA SONIC" The entire horn has just been cleaned and lubricated and is 100% complete and ready to play! A rare Kneissl White Star Pro Masters in very good condition with the original cover. Made In Austria This frame is identical to the legendary Adidas GTX Pro. At the beginning of his career Ivan Lendl used the Kneissl. The racquet was later renamed to Adidas GTX Pro. According to Kneissl delivered the frames to Adidas and the Adidas GTX Pro is in fact a Kneissl with an Adidas paintjob: Beginning from 1 January 1981. Lendl was contracted with Adidas, from then on playing the Adidas GTX Pro Graphite which was identical with the White Star Pro, a true paint job. In 1984. The White Star Lendl Pro was renamed as White Star Pro Masters. With only the inscription being changed. The era of that very small 10% head size ended by 1987, when the last model of the White Star line was launched, the White Star Masters 10. Tele-star telestar Japanese made vintage electric guitar. Pro Setup! Very cool.
On the auction block is my Tele-Star guitar. Japanese made in the 1960s or 1970s. Similar to a Teisco or Kawai. Super hot chrome pickup and chrome pickguard. Vibrato system works well, and the guitar has been set up by a professional repair technician. Neck is chunkier than most I've played before. But I really like it, since I play a lot of nylon-string guitar. And now that it's been set up, it's a true player's guitar. Sounds good played normally or as a slide guitar. Has a unique tone. Neck is steel reinforced, and bridge can be adjusted for height. Controls seem to work well, but could probably benefit from being sprayed. Still, you can plug it right in the moment you get it and get to playing. Has a rosewood fingerboard and mahogany body(very pretty) These don't come around too often.
