Vintage 60s SCHOTT Brown Leather FLIGHT BOMBER PILOT jacket mens 44
Brand: SCHOTT NYC. Color: Brown Model/Type: IS-674-MS Flight Bomber Jacket. Size: Mens 44 but please compare measurments to make sure it will fit to your likings before bidding as sometimes vintage items run small in size. Thanks(compare measurements) Measurements: 23.5" armpit to armpit 23.5" sleeve(measured from top shoulder seam to end of sleeve cuff) 22" Long(collar seam to bottom of waist band on backside) Material: Genuine Leather w/ Pile Lining and acetate/nylon sleeve lining Condition: Pre-Owned. Overall general wear with some minor damage so please read details and look at pics before bidding. The leather shell is a very thick and Sturdy High Grade Leather. The jacket has been stored for a long while and the leather is somewhat stiff so will need to be broken in some. But with a nice conditioning and some use will ... moredo the trick so not a major deal in my opinion. NO holes, tears, or rips found on the leather shell of jacket. The jacket does have some fade here and there along with some light scuffs and scratches(see pics) here and there, but just gives the jacket a lightly distressed look with nice vintage patina. ALL zippers and pockets are in working order. The front exterior right side pockets look like they have had some small stitching repairs at the corners by the previous owners, but they did not do the best of jobs and the repairs are noticeable, but not really a major deal in my opinion. The jacket has a heavy duty vintage TALON brand zipper which is in working order. The jacket has 2 exterior front flap pockets, 2 exterior front hand warming pockets, and NO interior pockets for extra stowing of items. The knitted cuff bands and waist band are in overall fair condition as far as them not being stretched out too much, but they are a little stretched out and fuzzy with some lint piling so can use a nice shaving/cleaning, but not a major deal in my opinion. Description Up for consideration we have a 1940's-50's plaid with suede leather applique hunting shirt jac. Jacket has nice John Deer check plaid color pattern and cool suede leather accents. Shirt features include the suede leather western style applique on the yoke. Shoulders and tops of pockets; Leather collar loop& leather pocket loops; satin chest and arm liner; 3-d pockets, for more room; double button adjustable wrist cuffs, and lastly the sweet exaggerated lay flat collar. On the wear side of things, lets get straight to it: Discoloration in the inner back of collar; fading under the collar on the suede leather; small lightly noticeable stain on right side front of suede applique shoulder; tearing in the liner, beneath both armpits& one slight small rip at the upper right neck; Mismatched button on left sleeve cuff ... moreand some tearing of fabric where the button is connected; 2 small areas have been patched from beneath at the right side of the right front pocket(when facing the garment) size wise pinky print and smaller; small stain above the patched area; one tiny pin prick of a moth nibble on the right collar; pictured yoke in large above to show minimal wear in full and the weathering of the leather pocket loops. There looks to be a repair made inside the jacket, where a pocket was becoming detached and was repaired. Some of these problems are quite minor but I'm trying to cover all my bases. There is no size tag but judging from measurements and seeing it in person I'd guess it's a size 42; possible 40. It is crucial that if wear is the motive of your purchase that you check the measurements listed below& look over the photos carefully. We picture as many as we can of every detail& flaw we find. a Description Up for your consideration we have an awesome Sheepskin Lambskin Wool lined suede leather back-belted peacoat! Coat is really cool and gives a nice fitted look because of the belt in the back. There are some markings and scuffs to the leather throughout the jacket. I will do my best to list them all now; a mark below the back belt. Pin mark on the back left side, some very lightly coming loose threads at the right underarm and in the middle of the back slit, back bottom left pleat shows wear to leather, right pleat has a BB sized gash, back of the collar has pinhead sized mark, the right underarm has some wear spots in a cluster and a pen mark on the left arm sleeve cuff. Right collar tiny bit of singed sheep hairs. A green lightly dyed spot on the inside fur. 2 wear spots on the front gut in the middle of buttons. Missing top ... moreleft button. Okay. I think thats it. All that being mentioned, I tried this thing on and would have swindled it away from the boss, but alas, the sleeves were a bit too short for me. Size on tag says 48, yeah right? In Europe maybe! Most likely a 38. Coats inner lining it super soft. The brown spot on the shearling is no accident, just got a spotted sheep. Coat is a Medium 38, but since its vintage and foreign, definitely best to check them measurements below to assure a perfect fit! I purchased this jacket in 1988 from Wilson Leather for around $300. It's seen its way across the world. Size 42. Genuine leather, 100% leather and suede. Soft and comfortable it has wear but in great condition to be 25 years old. Lining is in great condition with the exception of a tear along the seam inside left arm, shown in last picture. This is a 1970's Vintage Schott rancher suede Sherpa lined jacket. Size 42 Has 6 snap front close. 2 deep front pockets. Cuff snaps. This jacket is in excellent used condition. With the exception of a small hole in right side pocket liner, which can be easily mended. Nice Vintage Retro 1970s Mens High End Leather Jacket, Coat, 42L, GRAIS Elegante
Well Ron Burgundy would have loved this jacket! I bought it at a little estate sale and the leather is very soft. like buttah" It was a high end jacket when it was sold back in the 70s and has been worn, there is wear up at the neckline and around the shoulders so please look at the pictures. The leather just feels so soft and it has many years of wear left. There is one small area of fraying to the lining on the inside up near the collar, see the photo. All zippers and snaps work great and main zipper is YKK, all pockets including the 2 inside breast pockets have nice linings.
