Here's a vintage leather welding hood that I found at a recent estate sale. I can find no brand name on it. Only a couple part numbers on the Bakelite goggle frame.1198& 1137. It's all in good structural condition and works well, but it's a bit dirty and dusty and could use a detailed cleaning. The leather is still soft and in great shape. There's some very minor rust on the metal parts of the goggle frame, but it isn't serious at all. The glass lens is a bit dirty, and shows some minor scratches, but not bad at all. Speedglass 9002x auto darkening Welding helmet
Selling my Digital Speedglas 9002x Auto darkening welding hood. I have only used it a few times to weld test with. The hood has a visble and very comfortable darker green look to the weld while welding. It could easily be said that I have less than four hours of weld time under this hood& that these are well known and manufactured to the highest quality by 3M. This is a very nice hood with little buttons to select from shade 9 though 13. Another button to adjust the sensitivity, another to adjust the delay, and of course the on button. The buttons are a great improvement on the older style that had little dials that could be compromised with dust, sparks, or even moisture. Also included is the original box and lots of paper stuffing to keep the hood safe during shipping.
