Vintage Leather Welding Mask Hood Helmet w/Bakelite Goggle Frame weld welders
Here's a vintage leather welding hood that I found at a recent estate sale. I can find no brand name on it. Only a couple part numbers on the Bakelite goggle frame.1198& 1137. It's all in good structural condition and works well, but it's a bit dirty and dusty and could use a detailed cleaning. The leather is still soft and in great shape. There's some very minor rust on the metal parts of the goggle frame, but it isn't serious at all. The glass lens is a bit dirty, and shows some minor scratches, but not bad at all. This Jackson welding helmet is in really good overall vintage condition. I dont think it has been used much at all. The glass is very clean no pitting whatsoever. No cracks in helmet or glass. The only thing i found wrong was the crossmember on head band is gone. Still fits great and doesnt seem to affect stability of helmet while on head. Steampunk possibilities. Posted with

For auction is a vintage welder's mask from the Jackson company. This is a pre-owned item which has been used so it does show signs of wear. This helmet is made of hard plastic. There are no cracks or chips. It is MISSING its head strap. One could easily fabricate their own as a replacement. We don't recommend the helmet for modern use although at one time it was SEI certified. See picture#10. This will make a great display item. Conversation piece, or even a costume supplement!

The eyepieces are both functional and in good shape(with original glass) This one is a little different than most masks. As it has a leather neck guard in place.
