This Jackson welding helmet is in really good overall vintage condition. I dont think it has been used much at all. The glass is very clean no pitting whatsoever. No cracks in helmet or glass. Vintage fiber welding helmet. Has interesting"fibers" in whatever the material it is made out of(not metal) Seems to be quite old. I don't think they make them like this any more. Adjustable plastic head strap. Could use a cleaning. People use these to watch the solar eclipse. I can ship this internationally. Ebay is not letting me choose First Class International but it is under 4 lb so I can ship it that way last I knew, which would be cheaper than Priority International. For sale is one vintage fiberglass welding helmet with rough. Pockmarked looking glass. The helmet is in good condition for its age, but it does have some wear around the looking glass, where someone would have set it down after they were finished welding. What appear to be scratches all across the surface of the helmet are in fact the exposed fibers of the fiberglass. If you so desired, you would be able to use the helmet for welding, as the pockmarks on the glass do not obscure your sight. The helmet measures about twelve inches tall, nine inches wide, and six and a half inches deep. The window in front measures four and a half inches across and two and one-fourth inches tall. Vtg Fibre Metal Full Face Welding Mask/Helmet Tigerhood Flip Up Lens Steampunk Description: Up for sale is this estate rescued Fibre Metal Tigerhood No 906 full face welding mask or helmet! This helmet is in great vintage condition and shows the scars of lots of use on the surface from continued exposure and scratches. There is a crack in the lower section of the mask as seen in the photos to the left along with some tape from previous cracks. This mask has a flip up visor. This helmet includes a clear protective lens that has lots of pitting and debris from use and a dark welding lens along with 2 spacers and a spring to hold the lenses in place. This piece still has the original headband which has a rotating knob to adjust the size. The size adjusts from about 6 3/4" across to about 8 3/4" across to fit any head size! The band ... morethat goes over the top of the headband also has adjustment. If you name is Tim you are lucky. As you can see in the photos. Tim made certain that everyone knew this was his welding mask when he owned it. This mask measures about 13 1/4" tall x 8 1/2" across the side of the front. A very cool piece! Thank You! This auction is for a vintage Jackson welder's helmet with a distinct Darth Vader Steampunk look. It stands 13" high. Is almost 9" wide and has an adjustable headband. It weighs about 1 1/2 pounds.I believe it is made of fibre glass. I took the eyewear apart and pictured it separately. The outer lens acts as a one way mirror. That lens is most accurately depicted in the first picture whereas the helmet is most accurately depicted in the second picture. It is a dark grey color. This piece has been fitted with a Fibre-Metal 3-C Adjustable Headband so that it can be worn without a helmet. This helmet was very dirty when we recovered it. It has cleaned up well and appears to be in working order. The dark welding lens is mounted in a bakelite holder and flips up and stays up. The dark section consists of 3 lenses; 2 clear and one dark. One of the clear lenses has a gasket attached. All of the lenses have some scratches with some dark discoloration around the edges but they are still good visually. Inside the flip section is an additional clear lens to protect the wearer when the outer shield is flipped up. This lens has some minor scratching. But is not ... morecracked. The hold down spring has minor surface corrosion as seen in the photos. There are two thumb screws on either side to set the tension that allows the whole mask to be held up when raised. The fiberglass pattern is very pronounced on the outside of the mask giving it a very cool look! The outside of the flip up section is marked“Jackson” Inside the mask is marked“Jackson Products Inc USA” We don't see any cracks or breaks in the outside fiberglass or the bakelite lens holder. There are some red marks on the outside of the mask as shown in the photos. This may have been some artwork done by the original owner. A fantastic piece and really tells a story. I opted to NOT clean this item up too much as I think all the wear and metallic residue add to the character. Would make a great prop or Halloween piece. Flip up works great and the inside straps are all solid. The area under the duct tape appears to be a small burn hole maybe 3/4" and I assume that was placed there so sparks wouldn't burn a persons face Please be aware that the item that is pictured is the exact item that you will receive.
