Prewar. Early WW2 American Optics Army Air Corps issue type B6 flight goggles with original coffin box and prewar, early WW2 Buco flight helmet. The goggles are absolutely top shelf and would be near impossible to upgrade. They are USAAC issue not commercial AO Transports. The nickel finish on the frames is superb. The original rare charcoal gray colored cushions are in excellent condition as well. The cotton thread had started to deteriorate and cushions have been tightly resewn. The strap has most of its elasticity and is in great shape for display. These goggles could very easily be worn today. B6s are extremely rare and are near impossible to obtain in this condition. The helmet is in fine condition with supple leather and intact tag. All straps and snaps are functional. This is a very appropriate 1930s helmet to display these goggles ... morewith. The original AO stamped aluminum coffin box is included and is in nice shape with a few small dents and light scratches. I took the majority of the pics in natural light to show off true condition.
