1956 US ARMY KOREA PHOTO ALBUM LOT, 100, 500, 10 AND 1 HWAN, MENUS AND MORE!
This is a well documented photo album created by Pfc. Wm. R. Henry. 532 nd Qm. Co. Petrol. Dep. Supply Point 45. Inchon, Korea in 1956. Cover measures 10.5 X 14 inches. The album is in beautiful condition(Some separation of inside cover creases and corner wear) with tissue separating 47 thick cardstock pages of over 190 B&W photos. Mr. Henry painstakingly detailed information about each photo in white pen. One of the most interesting features of the album is the inclusion of four samples of period South Korean currency. There are 500. 100, 10 and 1 Hwan notes. Aside from some corner creasing due to being set in photo holders and minor wear, these bills are crisp and are in great condition from being kept in this album. There are also a couple of nicely preserved holiday menus which are very interesting. There are several pages of Pvt. ... moreHenry’s fellow soldiers and their names and hometowns. Along with the photos of military life. Mr. Henry also devoted a large portion of his album to Korean civilian life and customs of the period including a beautiful wedding party. Also some great period pics of Seoul. This album was so beautifully collected and recorded that it would’ve killed me to break it up. So I’m auctioning it as a lot.

These are a family item and I know the history behind them. What i have here are five menus from the Glacier Park Hotel, Glacier Park Montana. From the year 1949. One is a dinner menu of Sunday July 31 1949. Three are luncheon menus of Thursday June 16, 1949. And one is a breakfast menu of Monday June 20th 1949. At the top of each menu is a scene from within the park with a description. The pictures at the top are printed in a gray green color. Each menu is 9.25in X 5.5in. Fabulous old May. 1954 Original Menus from the SS Lurline. The art is the work of Eugene Savage(1883-1978) who in 1940 finished a major mural project on behalf of the Matson Navigation Co. The work was later adapted for use as menu covers aboard the S.S. Lurline which sailed between the mainland and Honolulu. Fabulous old April. May, 1955 Original Menus from the SS Lurline. The art is the work of Eugene Savage(1883-1978) who in 1940 finished a major mural project on behalf of the Matson Navigation Co. The work was later adapted for use as menu covers aboard the S.S. Lurline which sailed between the mainland and Honolulu. This collection is in great shape except for a few tape marks in margins of menus. My parents collected these beautiful menus on their many voyages to Hawaii. I just recently found them. Vintage Black Americana Smoking Joe's Restaurant Fans/Menus and 2 Post Cards
Super lot of three pieces of Black Americana! Advertising fans from Smoking Joe's are professionally framed and appear to be in great condition(I have not taken them out of the frame to inspect them) With frame. Measures 18 x 20 inches. Smaller frames(plastic frames with glass) hold adorable postcards. The good news is that they have been in the frames and are free of bends.colors are great! The bad news is that someone trimmed the tops of bottoms of the cards so that they would fit in the frames. Postcards measure approx. 3 1/2 x 5 inches. Display great! 1925 Vintage Booklet from the Jell-O Co. w/ Menus, Recipes & Lovely Pictures
Description: This 1925 Vintage Jell-O booklet has menus. Recipes, and lovely pictures. What is interesting about this booklet is on the first page is a list of the carbohydrates and proteins. It says: Under the heading"Estimates of Food Values, in practical dietertics, by Miss Alida Frances Pattee the following analysis of Jell-O, and then it lists the i ngredients and their values. The booklet has many menus with darling pictures. The first menu is called"The Wedding Present" with a sweet picture of a boy putting a present on a table. Then the menu is listed. Luncheon" Cream of Corn Soup with Popped Corn, Lamb Chops Panbroiled, Cubes of Mint Jell-O, Mashed Potato, Green Peas, Luncheon Rolls, Asparagus Salad, Roman Sponge, Lady Fingers, Coffee, Salted Nuts, Chocolates. Then it show you some Alternate Suggestions- Imperial ... moreSalad and Paradise Pudding. There are 18 pages of recipes and menus. Another menu on page 7 says" At Grandmother's- The Jell-O hour" with a darling picture of a child in grandpa's lap reaching for the Jell-O grandma is holding. What a teasure for anyone who loves to cook. Measures 6"W x 4-1/4"H. C ondition: Corners and edges are sharp. There is a creases in the front right bottom corner. This is a very nice pair if 2 menus( breakfast& lunch) for October 25. 1959, from the Holland-America cruise ship SS Nieuw Amsterdam, which was launched in 1937 and scrapped in 1974. They measure about 8" by 13" have a colorful header, and list a great selection for each meal Overall very nice shape with a few very small creases at the top. 4 Vintage 1947 Royal Hawaiian Waikiki Beach Hotel Menus Plumeria Hibiscus Cereus
Aloha. Up for bidding is on a set of 4 vintage 1947 Menus from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on the Beach at Waikiki. The Night Blooming Cereus flower Luncheon Menu is the only one dated"November 4th, 1947" but I bet the rest were from a day or 2 from that date. All have different Hawaiian flowers on the heading. 3 Breakfast(2 have the same meals) 1 Luncheon. All in good condition with no tears or creases. Hard to believe they were jammed in a suitcase& brought back to the States in this condition. The Plumeria Menu is the only one that shows usage at the table, light staining on one edge, light pen makes& a drop of maybe Papaia juice? Check the scans for condition. They measure 8 1/2" across x 12" Great framable menus. I combine on shipping. Shipped out within 24 hours after receiving payment.
