There is a Positive and Negative wire soldered to the board.I powered it up using a small 12 volt battery and the radio came on. Item is believed to be a 450-512 MHz unit based on this webpage: which shows that the model LPU-4421A is a Lexan case version with 450-512 MHz range. We're guessing that the"M" in MPU-4421A model number means metal case based on that webpage. However. The unit definitely needs a new battery. It looks like it is starting to oxidize and it won't hold a charge, so we can't test transmit. The unit does power on briefly before the battery dies. The charger lights up when charging.
