This radio was used as a scanner because it does NOT transmit. I bench tested the unit and the receiver works very well. But the PA doesn't put out any power. I am not including a microphone, just the shorting plug to let it scan for the buyer. Also included but not pictured is the power cable. It's a great radio, just wont transmit. I bought this radio used and supposed to be in working condition but could not get it work. When 12v DC is put to this radio is does not power up. I’m selling it as is not working for parts radio; however I will guarantee the head is working as shown in the pictures. I removed the head and tested it on anther working cdm1250 that and it worked and functioned flawlessly. The display is nice and bright all the led lights work and the speaker is nice and loud. This would make a great radio for someone who knows more about these radios than I do or just needs a replacement head. I think the head should work with uhf versions also. The pictures with the display lit were from when I removed the head and tested it on anther working radio in our fleet. The auction includes the radio and head noaccessories.

Up for auction is a Motorola CDM1250 VHF radio in non-functional condition. The radio is a 136-174 MHz bandsplit. 45W output power, 64 conventional channel model. Radio does not power up. It looks like it might be a software issue because the internal speaker makes a"popping" sound when power is removed. The data plate states that the radio has firmware version R05.05.04. The radio is beautiful cosmetically, the control head has some slight marks on the top but is really clean. Radio is sold as-is! No returns will be accepted. I am selling a Motorola CDM1250 VHF Mobile radio with a remote mounting kit. This kit is a rare find. It makes this radio very easy to mount in newer vehicles. It allows you to mount the main radio in the trunk or under a seat and all you have is the control head and mic mounted near the operator. It has the 20 pin port on the back(same as the 16 pin) which makes this radio excellent for IRLP, echolink, making a repeater or a link radio. Also great for just using it as a mobile radio. I have used it for the last few years and it works great, receives and transmits excellent. Has 64 channles. Comes with a DTMF mic, remote kit and the mounting bracket for the remote head. This is a very clean CDM1250 VHF 136-174 MHZ. 25-40 watt radio. It is a conventional radio with ability to have 64 channels programmed into it. It is a AAM25KKD9AA2AAQS. It comes with what you see in the picture. It will have the DC power cable, and microphone. This was removed from service at a local utility and when they took it out of service they removed the programming and installed only National Weather 162.55 mhz receive. I have hooked it up and the receiver has normal sensitivity. There is no way to test the transmitter. Because they only have the receive frequency programmed. I do not have programming soft ware for these radios. And can not offer programming for them. Motorola CDM1250 VHF Mobile Radio w/Acc
Selling my CDM1250 VHF radio. Covers 136MHz to 174MHz. I have been using this on the 2 meter ham band. Very nice radio. Large bright alpha-numeric display. Has some scratches on the display bezel and body from normal use. Nothing obvious. Over all this is a nice clean radio. Checked the output on my Bird. Will do the rated 45 watts but I have been using it cut back to 35 watts. Comes ready to go with mike. Bracket and thumb screws, new power cable(still in bag) and new mike clip also new in bag.
