I turned it on and the numbers come up, I could change them and it did switching between numbers and top-and-bottom horizontal lines, which I interpretted as scanning. Volume knobs seems to work. The thing generally seems to be working but I can't tell for sure. Still, the state is not supposed to sell non-working electronics at surplus, so I'm selling this one as working, and if it's not it can be returned for a refund. The radios are all in reasonable nice cosmetic condition. These are nice radios. I have had several hams buy them and report they are good 6m rigs. This radio was used as a scanner because it does NOT transmit. I bench tested the unit and the receiver works very well. But the PA doesn't put out any power. For consideration is a Motorola Maxtrac two way radio. The unit is a model D51MJA9JA5AK. 42-50 MHz low band. The unit is a DUAL head model. The radio shows normal use, and was working when removed from service. The auction includes two heads, the radio, bracket, two mics, and quick mount box- NO cabling. We purchased the unit as part of a larger lot. We witnessed mold on some units. Any needed cleaning is the buyers responsibility. Any needed programming is the responsibility of the buyer.
