Midland 71-3400B 150w VHF Amplifier
Midland Power Amplifier Model#71-3400B. VHF, rated for 150W. These are intended for Repeater use and came from a dismantled Midland repeater. These are nice. They have a cooling fan which i believe to be temp controlled as it came on after testing for a while into a dummy load. With 5w input i had 150w rated output. These will do the ham band with some slight adjustments. Below about 148Mhz the output started to drop off slightly to around 130w, but that could be fixed with a little tuning to bring it down. Standard 19" rack mounting and N-Female connectors for the input and output and screw terminals for the power, they are labeled positive and negative on the circuit board.

Cleaning up and have this business band radio we no longer use. I'm sure it's not narrow band capable as its too old. Powers up and I have no other way of testing if it transmits. Transmit light lights up when the microphone is keyed. We haven't used it for almost 10 years and has hung on the wall since then. We used it connected to a 12 Volt power supply as a base at our market. So we are selling it as is. No warranty or returns. I know we had 3 channels programmed which one was the weather bureau. It also had our business band freq. 153.125 and it was the only channel programmed to transmit on.
