Motorola Maxar 50 VHF-High-Band mobile radio. Under-the-dash mount, 148-155 MHz( band split(not quite sure of the exact band split) Two(2) frequency crystal controlled radio, comes with one(1) single transmit and receive crystals on 153.500 MHz. Great for Amatuer APRS! Could be converted to the 144-148 MHz Amateur Band for APRS on 144.39 MHz. THis radio has a bandwidth of 1 MHz. So it will not cover theentire 2 meter band. Additionally, rgus radiuo was order at 153.500 MHz, so retuneing this radio to the APRS frequency of 144.39 MHz is a move of over 9 MHz, so some of the tuning coils may not peak, but run out of the coil. This would require cangeing some surface mount capacitors, so the proper de-soldering and soldering tolls are highly recommended. Was recently checked out with a power supply to verify that the receiver works properly, which it does, with good volume of unsquelched white noise audio. Does not have a microphone. So the transmitter could not be checked out, but it came out of service in good working order, so it should be just fine, putting out the full 10 watts RF power. Printed circuit boards are in excellent condition. Really clean, looks brand new and has never been worked on. Sold as is. No refunds and no returns. Vintage(1976) Motorola Maxar Two Way Two Channel FM Civil Defense Radio w/Mic. 17"L New-Tronic Hustler Antenna with original instruction book with schematics and the original purchase and installation paperwork and receipts from 1976. Frequency range 150.8- 174mhz. Xtals installed 154.43mhz and 154.980mhz, also comes with the alignment xtal and wrench. Model D33TRA1300AK. Mic is a TMN6104A. Radio works great and it measures 10" x 6 1/2" x2 1/2" This was originally purchased for the local county civil defense.

Mic cord could use replacing but seams to work as when I pressed the mic button the red transmit light came on. The inline Fuse holder is broken also but is a easy fix. Pictures are of actual item you will be buying. This was bought at a equipment auction. I hook this up to a battery and it seams to function as it should. All nobs seem to work to the best of my knowledge and I was able to receive noise when the squelch was lower and the volume also seems to work. I pressed the mic button and the red transmit light came on. I try to describe things as best as I can. I am not a expert or radio person so I can only tell you what I was able to test by connecting it to a battery ... moreand using a piece of wire as a antenna as I have no other way of testing it.
