You are bidding on a used Nikon mini prism pole. The pole is pretty scuffed up with scratches. There are also 2 things I need to tell u about. First it is missing a spring on one of them quick release levers which u can see in one of the pics. All u need to do is find the same kind of spring and replace. I've switched the springs back and forth and the lower and top work fine with the spring in. Also on the bottom part when u retract it up its gets kinked up on something. The top part slides out smooth but the bottom part u have to actually pull a little on it to get to go all the way up. The scuffs and scratches do nothing to hinder what u use it for. Great. High quality Sokkia optical plumment tribrach. I bought this one new in 1981 along with a couple more. This one was used daily until about 1992 and has seen very limited use in the last 20 years. A couple of the leveling screws were replaced long ago- when I had employees- by either Brunson in Minneapolis or Valley Surveying equipment in Appleton, WI. This is in good operating condition and in good adjustment. The use resulted in a patina that looks like a layer of vanish. I can guarantee no varnish is on this unit- just a naturally occurring patina. I no longer need 6 of them. The seller from whom I purchased it represented that this item was made by company that was an authorized manufacturer of Sokkia equipment. Indeed the equipment is labeled as such. And looks to be carefully manufactured. However, I believe this item is a copy of the OEM equivalent, not OEM. That said, it is quite likely that this will serve your needs just fine. The item is being sold AS IS. It was used a couple of times in the field, and is as good as new. The prism canister is in two pieces that screw together. For either-40mm or-30mm offset. Alternatively, with the pieces screwed together, the assembly may be mounted on the reverse of the holder to achieve a 0mm offset. Comes in a soft red case and removable reflective target. For sale here is a used Sokkia 0-30mm offset prism and holder with a Sokkia soft case the prism in good shape considering that it is used. The targets are in good shape with slight peeling of paint around the edges and the holder is in good shape. These units are notorious for being cracked and missing the targets and this one is in pretty good shape for its age. The soft case is in average condition, the inside is in very good shape, and the outside shows some signs of weathering but overall in good shape. Plumb bob, instruction manual and charger unit. It is in very nice aesthetic condition. I gave it a quick test and everything is in good operating condition. The tripod. Prism and the prism pole are in great shape and have their original boxes. The previous owner used this setup for archeology. But got and office job at a museum and no longer had need of the unit.
