These wafers consist of capacitor structures utilizing Platinum electrodes and some exotic very high-k materials like SrBi2Ta2O9. Often diffusion barriers were deposited prior to the capacitor module but I have no way of telling this under my cheapo microscope. It is a great item and very interesting– could be embedded in Lucite or mounted in a nice frame. Stunning- absolutely STUNNING under halogen lighting Would make a nice talking point in anyone’s den or office area. Wafers like this are usually destroyed so as to stop them being copied or stolen.
