Used DT Swiss(HuGI) rear hub. 32 hole, silver, for Shimano/SRAM 8, 9, or 10 speed. Weight 235 grams. Also included is a used Reynolds skewer. 60 grams. The bearings are in good condition. But not perfect. I would use them as is for another 5000 or 10000 miles before replacing them. The freehub works perfectly and is quiet. There are some marks on the freehub. But no significant notches. Cassettes slide on and off freely. There are some indentations around the spoke hole. About average for a used hub. I estimate about 1000 miles on the hub. Cosmetically and functionally I rate the hub as very good. Say 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. I have subsequently broke down the original build and now have this fork to sell. The fork was purchased brand new for the build and is in"New Bike Take Off" condition. There are absoulutely no scratches. Dings, paint chips or blemishes on the fork other than those on the dropouts from clamping the front wheel and steer tube from the upper headset bearings(see pictures) Steer tube is 7.75 inches in length. From my personal collection of vintage retro mountain bike components. I offer this vintage Shimano XTR Hyperglide 8 speed cassette in 12 x 32 size. I'm not sure if this is an M-900 or M-950. I can't find the number on it. I believe this is Titanium- at least in some part or fashion, based on other listings and my fuzzy memory from back in the day. I'll start the bidding at under half what I see them closing for on eBay and let you all decide what your confortable with for this classic cassette. I had accumulated a nice little trove of vintage MTB parts but after a few projects. I'm focusing on another direction. This vintage cassette should be circa about 1995 to 1997 ish. Shimano XT crankset, 8 speed, 5 arm FC-M739, 44-32-22 rings, vintage rare 177.5
Up for sale is a very good condition Shimano XT 8 speed crank. Model FC-M739, circa 1997. This crank is rare from three aspects: 1) It's a 5 arm spider. Most XT cranks from this model series featured a dedicated big ring that doubled as the 4 bolt spider. That meant when you damaged or wore out the big ring. You had to replace a much more expensive and hard to remove component. This crank has a traditional 94/58 mtb compact drive standard for which there are still a lot of ring choices. 2) It's 177.5mm length. Most cranks. Then and now, are 175mm. The slight extra length gives you more leverage and a lower apparent gear. 3) This one is barely used. It went on maybe a dozen rides before I replaced it with a White Industries crank(also on sale on Ebay) The rings are in excellent. Nearly new condition. The arms have a few cosmetic scratches ... moreand one slight ding in the back of the non drive arm. I rate it 8.5 out of 10 in overall condition and I am very picky. These cranks are the last generation before Hollowtech and Octalink appeared on the scene. They have the hollow back forged design that puts material in the right place to resist twist and flex. It takes a square tapered bottom bracket. 110mm I believe. I only have 4 chainring bolts installed on both granny and larger rings as I couldn't find more in my collection. You'll have to source another or replace with some trick titanium or anodized aluminum bits. This crank directly competed with Race Face Turbine. Kooka, Syncros, Cook, Rhino, XLR8, Caramba, Hershey, TNT, Sampson, Topline, Sims, Hurricane, Grafton and others. It beat pretty much all of them at less than half the cost. I will ship internationally as well. But know that it will be by US air mail and there will be no tracking ability. I will get a cost quote at the end of auction for your particular country. This is my Fox fork that came with my 2009 Trek Fuel EX 9.8(21.5" frame) It's a tapered steerer tube or as Trek calls it"E2" The Steerer measures 23.2 cm or 9 1/8" long. It has some scratches on it but nothing on the stanchions or anything critical. I think you can see every scratch in the photos, mostly on the bottom of the legs and a bit where the race goes.
