Offered is this Victorian era call bell with fine detailed cast iron base. Nickel plated brass bell and brass finial. The circumference of the finial is clearly impressed" PAT.D' AUG. 25 1863 AUG. 8. 1856 APR. 8, 1870 FEB. 3, 1874" The underside of the base is embossed" PAT. AUG. 25. 1863& APR. 8, 1856" The bell has a 3 7/16 inch diameter base and stands 2 3/4 inches tall. There is no makers logo but the patent dates match Bradley and Hubbard Mfg. Co. bell patents. This is a great working bell with a nice ring. There are no broken. Missing or replaced parts and no dents or dings.

From a smoke free estate. Beautiful rare triple dinner bells. The three bells come together with stylized flower buds. Research leads me to believe that this is similar to the sterling blossom pattern. Jensen-like quality and design that I believe to be circa 1950. All three clangers are securely attached and original. The bells have a very nice ring tone. Each bell is marked on the inside with in a triangle: Hecho En Mexico DF(Made in the federal district of Mexico City) 0.925 F. Ramirez. Marked outside of the triangle logo STERLING. This marking is very hard to photograph. But again each bell is marked. Nice patina. They have a soft, warm finish. No monograms or repairs. I have up for sale a wonderful vintage original circa 1870s- 1880s large fancy cast iron base Hotel Tap Call Service Bell. It stands approx 5-3/4" to the top of the tapper. The bell is approx 3" diameter, the base 4" square,approx 4-3/4" diagonal. Rings with excellent tone! The base is extra fancy and large. It magnetizes so it must be cast iron. It is nickel plated but the plating is worn, beneath this appears to be another brass type plating. I do not quite understand this but this is how it appears to me.
