Vacuum Can Company AerVoid 3 Gallon Stainless Steel Jug with Spigot For Hot and Cold Beverages. Stock No. 7330-00-721-8499. Cont. No. GS-09S-40838. Serial No. 44675. Made in Chicago. IL, United States. This vintage jug was made prior to the name change from Vacuum Can Company to AerVoid. As you can see in the photos. The label is still Vacuum Can Company. The spigot is labeled AerVoid and states"patent pending. Everything seems to be working great. I put water in the jug and opened the spigot. The water drained fine. The rubber seal around the lip of the opening is still soft and intact. There are minor scratches and blemishes but no dents. The lids has all parts with the only damage being that the rubber stopper has a broken strap but is still completely functional. The welded seams are not rusted. I have not polished the jug. Only ... morecleaned it with some soapy water. Measures approximately 12" x 12" x 20" and weighs about 16 pounds. Shipping weight appx. 20 pounds. I did email AerVoid to try to get a manufacture date. But they were unable to help me. The only information the gentleman could tell me was that its been at least 15 years since the company started using the AerVoid label. This is a great vintage thermal liquid carrier. Great for parties. Camping, prepping, job sites, or any purpose. The lid still has seal in tact and the screw vent on the top of the lid(see pics) The spigot works well. The spout valve looks like it may have been repaired at one time with epoxy. It doesn't leak at all. Liquid comes out when handle is pushed or pulled. There is about four dents towards the top. Normal wear/scratches. Mfg. Date reads October 1959. US inspected.
