Vintage Flare Ware chafing dish by Hall China. Ivory with real gold accents. Very good vintage condition. The gold especially appears to be in excellent condition. The edge of the lid and the groove that it sets in are a little rough and worn. There is a spot on the edge of the lid that looks kind of like a small chip but it feels much smoother than I would expect a chip to feel. It has a vented lid but the matching ceramic warming stand is not with it. It stands aprox 2 5/8" deep without the lid. 5 1/4" tall with the lid x 12 1/2" wide, including the handles. Chafing Dish This is a mid-century chafing dish made of polished aluminum. With an Anchor Hocking Fire King 1.5 Quart glass casserole dish insert. It is in beautiful shape and doesn't actually show any signs of former use. There are three curved legs. Decorated with nice mill-work and scrolling on the top. The sides of the chafing dish have a punched-aluminum decoration. As well as scrolled banding. The lid slopes downward form an ornate handle and is banded with mill-work. A two-handled fire King glass casserole sits inside. The lid fits this quite securely. The chafing dish is 8" wide and stands 6.5" tall. To the top of the glass casserole. With the lid on, it stands 10" to the top of the handle. The glass dish is marked: 447 Anchor Hocking-Fire King-Ovenware- 4-Made In USA-1-1/2 Qt.USA. The glass insert is free from ... morechips or cracks. The aluminum shows no signs of staining from fire where the Sterno can would have been. The lid could probably stand a polishing which would bring would bring out it's shine even more. There is just slight surface scratching on the lid. Such as it might get from storage. I could not find any maker's marks on the aluminum pieces. Please take a look at the photos. This piece would look right at home at a modern party. Even though it most likely dates to the 1950s. This is a nice estate piece from the original owner. It is an OLD. Vintage, mid-century silver plated chafing dish, stand and burner. In good condition. There is some tarnish. The paint on the wooden handle is chipped as shown in the picture. There is a pan that inserts into the stand to hold the chafing dish- this pan has a small crack but it is not noticable and does not affect the function of the pan. The wick in the burner shows that it was never used. The chafing dish did not have a glass bowl with it. Stand is 6-3/8" tall by 7-1/4" ring diameter(without the legs) The chafing pan is 11" in diameter with the rim, with an interior diameter of approximately 8" Overall 18" with the wood handle. It is in very good condition with the fuel source container being the only piece that definitely looks like it was used. The base appears to be all copper. But I can't say for certain. Just Lovely & Elegant 5 pc Chafing DIsh Set Silverplate See markings Crown
A lovely and Elegant Silverplate Chafing Dish Set with ornate rim. Scrolling and beautiful Footed Legs. This is a complete Chafing set and includes the following: Ornate 3-Legged Stand Burner Bowl with Lid. Wick and snuffer which fits in the bottom ring Warming bowl which fits in the stand Ornate Chafing Dish which sits inside stand for serving Brown wood stained handle w/brass screw to the dish The cover lid with the ornate handle completes the set beautifully! I do not recognize or have found these markings. I have photographed the marks twice and there is a crown but my eyesight is not the the best and I can not make out the letters. If anyone knows feel free to share if you don't mind. Condition: Beautifully cared for. Only minor tarnished that has not been cleaned. Light usage inside bowls. inside. Measurement: Height with all pieces ... moreto finial 12" Inner bowl will hold 6 cups of water Width of ornate with handle. 11' and handle is 8" so 19" displayed.
