This is a vintage 4 piece set with includes the base. Skillet, lid and warmer that the dish sits in. The skillet has a wood handle and measures approximately 8" in diameter. It is missing the sterno component that goes on the base. It shows some signs of wear and is being sold as is. The bottom of the skillet say JR Gibney Churchills. Here we have what I believe to be a chafing dish that combo that the holder is silver plated although I can't find any name or anything on it. It was badly tarnished and my husband cleaned it up somewhat-probably could use a little more. The legs have a lion's head and feet on each leg. There are 2 glass bowls that came with it- a larger one that sits in the top and the smaller one on bottom. They are both rimmed in silver bands. The size of the large one is 7 1/2" x 3" and the small one is 4 3/4 x 2 3/8" The stand is 6 3/4" tall and 6 3/8" across. Set into a gold tone metal structure that has a space for a candle to keep your dish warm. The gold band that holds the dish has stars punched out for a dash of atomic style. Very groovy indeed. Vintage Silver Plated Chafing Dish With Carved Wooden Handle And Alcohol Burner
This vintage Silverplated chafing dish is a beautiful piece. With more years of service ahead, even though it is pre- owned. The pot itself is 11"in diameter and 3,5 inches deep, so it can hold a good quantity of food. The tripod base is very heavy, so no worries about it tipping over. The handle is hardwood and does display some wear, but it does not diminish the beauty or functionality of the piece. The inner ring that rests in the tripod and holds the alcohol burner, shows that it was soldered to the tripod, although now it is not. The ring rest securely in the tripod, however and allows the alcohol burner to remain off the surface. The photos show the inscription on the alcohol burner which says. Only use methyl alcohol, and only fill one half full. The silver plate appears to be in very good condition except for a small black area ... moreon the rim of the pot, about the size of pencil eraser cut in half. This is a great piece for use at parties and buffet dinners. Due to the small imperfections mentioned above, the price is right too. The piece is very heavy. There are 2 Profesional 9 qt chafing dish's. They are both in fairly good condition. They are both missing the fuel burners with adjustable controls and flame extinguishers. Anyone who has catering equipment will already have these. They are very comon and inexpensive. They only other minor issue is one of the two chafing dishes os missing its 9 qt matte finished food pan. They are an easy replacement and once again. A catering buyer will most likely have extra of these to replace them. Cosmetically they arw in good condition. The dripless pans have the round marks inside from the fuel burners. They look good and have no dents or scratches that I saw. Theu are shiny and will look great on display at any event or food services. Any questions please ask. Up for sale is a vintage 1950s Rodney Kent hand hammered aluminum chafing dish holder with lid in the popular Tulip motif. Unmarked. The 3 legs become handles and are in the motif of a pair of ribbons with dogwood blossoms where the ribbons intersect. The handle for the lid is also a hand wrought tulip. It is in very good shape with the normal level of wear of aluminum ware of this era, but almost no pitting or corrosion or dark spots. It does not include the Pyrex glass baking dish but is priced accordingly. The dimensions are as follows: approximately 9 1/2" in diameter X 8 3/4" high with the lid on. This is a very attractive vintage silverplate chafing dish with an Anchor Hocking stars and bars glass bowl for an insert. It has a beautiful ring with an open design bordered by tiny baroque patterns and the legs have a lovely floral and leaf design with a ring for the warmer attached to the bottoms. The lid has a flower design handle. The glass bowl probably isn't original to this piece as it's a little small. This is in good condition with some scratching on the rim of the metal bowl from the lid and on the inside from the insert. I see one tiny dent on the rim of the lid and a couple of small areas of roughness on the edge can be felt but not seen. I don't se any maker marks on this. A beautiful piece for use or display. This is a beautiful and decorative vintage FB Rogers five piece warming/ chafing dish. Together. The set measures approximately 9 1/2" tall with the lid in place. Without the lid, it is 6 3/4" tall. The sleek wooden handle is attached to the plate with a handsome silver grip. The dimension of the plate with the handle is 10 3/4" It is 1 7/8" tall. The 3-legged silver plated stand measures 6 1/2" tall. The three legs are decorated with intricate flowers and fine trim. The inside of the 3 legs is smooth and adds grace to the stand. A scarab features prominently in the pattern and the pan is accented with a papyrus frond on the handle. The frame and pan are also decorated with squares on the rims. The menu for the cafe used the scarab as its logo- a website from the New York Public Library has a photo that shows the original menu. The Jeweler's Circular Weekly dated February 12, 1910 advertised this pattern and described it as made exclusively for the Cafe which opened and closed in 1910 in one ... moreof the most spectacular restaurant failures in history. Backers spent millions of dollars. Including $250,000 for the silver service(in 1910 dollars! A dress code of"black tie only" did not meet with public acceptance and the restaurant closed within 6 months of the opening. This chafing dish and frame offer a spectacular example of Art Deco elegance. It's truly a rare find and will be treasured by any silverplate collector! Condition: Very good- a few scratches and dings on the pot but the inside is clean. The frame is slightly bent as seen in the photos and the legs show some old repair work. Please note that there is no burner but that can be easily replaced. It has been hand polished so there will be no surprises. Any dark spots in the photos are reflections only. It is marked: International Silver Co. Silver Soldered SH0359 8 in on the bottom of the pot. And the frame is stamped with the maker's mark as well.
