This auction is for a vintage/ antique French enamelware graniteware wall-hung laundry set. Ca 1930's. Yellow with raised striped design in white. Gray and yellow. The shelf accommodates three containers: Cristaux( washing soda) Savon Noir( Soft soap) Savon Mineral(Mineral soap) Backstamp under the containers reads B.B. with pattern number 12506. Dimensions of shelf 14" wide- 5" deep. Dimensions of containers: 3 1/2" tall- 4" diameter. The set was probably never used and it is in great original condition. Shiny enamel. The 3 containers are excellent with no chips. Cracks or stains. The shelf shows one very small superficial spot on back edge where enamel is missing and a tiny enamel nick on right corner(hardly noticeable) There are two very small enamel nicks on the underside. Vintage(2) EASTER Cardboard Foil Wrapped/Covered Egg Candy Containers Royal Blue GERMANY 6" L x 4" W x 4 1/4" T This it is a vintage lot of(2) large cardboard Easter egg candy containers with the outer"shells" wrapped in a rich shimmering royal blue foil. They measure approx. 6 inches long.By about 4 inches wide and approx. 4 1/4 inches tall. They are marked on the inside floral paper MADE IN GERMAN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC in several places.My guess is that they are from the 1950's era or so.They came in a variety of eye-catching foil colors. These 2 just happen to be royal blue. The color may appear slightly different in the photos than in person.The"as found" condition of the 2 is fairly good considering their age and handling over time.There is minor wear to the foil,a couple small spots where the foil ... moreis missing,and some additional crinkling in a couple places.The insides show a few places where the paper is a somewhat"cracked" looking.There are a couple minor holes in the paper,and at some point in time, someone decided to apply quite a bit of what appears to be hot glue around the bottom edges, I guess to make sure the bottom sections remained together.Also on the inside, a small piece of clear tape was placed at a seem,most likely because it was coming loose.All that said,it is pretty remarkable that these eggs have even survived after being filled with candy or trinkets,opened and handled by children,displayed and stored decade after decade!No matter what the color,they are a bright and cheery vintage addition to your Easter display,collection or centerpiece.Some have been adorned with big bows,and the possibilities are too many to list. I showed one example in the last photo.
