VINTAGE Rodney Kent hammered aluminum chafing dish/Pyrex. Basket, Napkin Holder. This hammered aluminum set of hand wrought creations by Rodney Kent is in pretty good overall condition. They are used and do have handling wear and light scratches. With a proper cleaning. This set will shine up beautifully! The ornate chafing dish is#475. It is 9" high with the pyrex dish in place and 9.25" in diameter, with a tulip pattern handle and floral pattern legs. The basket is#429. It is 7"x 6" in diameter, 4" high, has tulips embossed on it and has the same floral pattern on the handle as the chafing dish. The napkin holder is 4 3/8" high x 6" wide. It does not have the logo on it, but it is the exact same floral pattern design on the legs as the other two pieces. The napkin holder stands proper, but the rivots are ... moreslightly loose on the legs, they do not appear to be weak at all, just were not pressed real tight when manufatured. The Corning pyrex casserole dish with lid marked 1.5l. Is oven and microwave safe, the lid has a chipped spot on the rim that has been smoothed out. I am not sure if this dish is origninal to the set, but it fits snugly in the chafing dish and the lid fits perfectly on it as well. All dimensions are approximate. I have tried to research this set but can not find one remotely like it. The bottom turquoise pans say B.W. Buenilum. The pans with the turquoise handles do not have a mark on them that I can find but this is how the set was found. Missing both lids. Stand has some rust spots and the turquoise pans have some marks which you can see in the photos.One of the turquoise pans is slightly bent(shown in photo) Stand measures approximately 6.5"tall. 21"long and 11"wide. This is called a spirit lamp that was patented Feb. 15. 1898 for it's"two shutters pivotally secured to the lamp" I looked this info up. It adjusts the flame by pushing the wooden handle back and forth. There are holes for air in the bottom. I believe this is for a chafing dish and actually sits in a holder. The lamp measures 3 1/2" diameter at the top and 2 1/4" diameter at the bottom. It is about 1 3/4" tall with a wooden handle. Nice patina, tight handle.

antique chrome chafing dish 1909,Sternau & Co. New York
This chafing dish is presumably chrome. It was a wedding present to a relative in 1909. It is marked Sternau& Co. New York. There is a mark: top of the mark is the word"TRADE" bottom of the mark is the word"MARK" and in between is a large"S" with a small"s" overlapping the large"S" on the left side and"co" overlapping the large"S" on the right side. The handle on the lid and the handle on the chafing dish appear to be painted wood. It appears that a liquid sterno would be poured into the container and then lit. It has a patent date on it of Jan.12, 1892. The legs in particular do not have a sheen to them and the chrome in general shows scratching and some pitting, but then so would I if I was 106 years old! 1960s PURALUM CHAFING DISH 2 Quart Food Warmer Made in Italy
Would you believe this shiny. New looking chafing dish was purchased in the 1960s? Well, the box shows its real age. And it even has the original receipt inside- December 9, 1966(or 68, the paper is very yellow) The chafing dish itself is in wonderful condition. Other than a little dark area on the bottom where the flame hit the dish. And a slight dent at the rim of the lid, this 2-quart dish has no flaws. It was Made in Italy and Imported by PURALUM CORPORATION. So we assume it is Aluminum. It really LOOKS like silver plated. With very elegant features. Antique 5 Piece Chafing Dish Set with Antique Burner Pat 1898
Here is an antique five piece chafing set. I am uncertain of the material- some type of metal. The majority of it is non magnetic, but it looks like the main pan is copper with maybe a stainless tinning over it. A very slight ding in the main pan, the rest is all in decent condition. The burner is quite old, stamped on the bottom with two patent dates in 1898. There is a pin/screw missing on the burner handle which would hold the black circular knob in place. I can turn it enough to see the cover come up and over the burner, but I am unsure how this burner works and what material it uses. I can send any additional photos you request. Great piece of Pacific Northwest beer-making history. Before we became famous for coffee and craft brewers. We had Olympia, brewed in the Great state of Washington. The company focused its advertising on the artesian water used in the brewing process. The original brewery changed hands several times in the 1980's and 90's, and eventually closed in 2003. The product name was sold to Oasis brewing, but it is no longer made in Tumwater Washington, nor with Artesian water. This chafing dish is in excellent condition. The lid is 8 inches in diameter and 3 ½ inches tall. The base is 8 inches in diameter where the dish sits. It is 6 ¼ inches tall. The legs are all sturdy. There is a light stain on the back bottom and some wrinkling of the nylon. Looks like someone tried to scrub out the stain. No holes.
