This is a really nice vintage silver plate GUILDCRAFT chafing serving dish. It is in good condition and comes complete. I don't think it has been used. I got this in a antique shop thinking I was going to use for entertaining. But I need to clean out and get rid of things I don't use. It Has the orginal burners with the tag still attached, and the two glass inserts. The glass inserts are marked"Fire king" on the bottom of each. They are in good condtion. I had this packed away for quite a while and it has some need for polishing. I started to do it the other day on the lids, but decided I will leave the rest up to the new owner. There are a few surface scratches from being packed away, but you don't see them unless looking close. I think this set is sliver plate. I don't see any markings. Vintage Buenilum Aluminum Chafing Dish or Fondue Set, No Lid Retro
Terrific Retro Buenilum Chafing pot that I believe would make a really neat fondue pot! I included 6 fondue forks since you can certainly use it for that. It has the sterno burner on the bottom. You can buy 3 packs or so of sterno fuel in the camping department and plop one of them right in there. Or you can use denatured alcohol and regulate the flame with the attached flame cover. Or, of course, you can use a candle in there to warm chocolate or cheese or warm dips. No lid for the pot. You can tell from the handle style and the fancy legs that it is mid-century and I think it is so nice. No dents. A little residue under the pot, but no burnt marks and the trademark"Buenilum" is obvious to be seen. Will package carefully for protection.

This is a beautiful Vintage Mid Century Danish Modern Miramar Calif. Chafing Dish/ Casserole with Teak Wood Tripod Stand. Tripod stand measures 15 1/4" long. Approx. 8" deep. Large Silverplate Holder for a Covered dish or bean pot. Probably Fire King. This is so beautifully designed. Early from the Arts and Crafts movement. This is even dated Pat Nov. 24 1914. From handle to handle this is 9.5 inches wide and from circle end to end it is 7 inches wide. This is so beautifully crafted. And such quality, not many things are made like this anymore. This is in good condition. It needs cleaned. I took several photos but it was hard to get nonfuzzy closeups. There are a few scuffs and few areas that need buffed out. With a few off covered patches in the circle to circle pattern on the sides and one of the sides seems slightly tilted or bent.

This has been in my family over 50 years. It is silverplated& since my mothers death I have no real need to keep it. It is used& glass inside but does not look to me to have any real issues except that it need loving care. polishing. I'm guessing that when purchased 50 years ago it was not extremely expensive but then again 50 years ago everything was much cheaper. Still in it's day the price was considered high. I found a few of these for sale& they are all around 200+ dollars. A few on this site are in the $30 to $40 range but usually have something missing. I really don't think anything is missing here? This old Hot water chafing dish from England is in bad need of silver polishing. I didn't polish it. I leave that up to the buyer. I don't know what the underlying metal is but it is non-magnetic so it might be tin or copper. I think it was silver plated though I don't see any electroplating marks on the bottom. The mystery Mark that I refer to in the title is the overlapped M&S letters in the shield symbol. I haven't been able to find that specific silversmiths mark anywhere. It is also marked"England" on the bottom. The hot water plug unscrews easily. I can just picture these being used in Victorian England by the kitchen staff to keep the master's food warm. This auction is for a vintage(5) piece chafing dish bowl pan food warmer that I believe is silver plated(Not sure. Can find no markings) But seems to have a copper color/tint in some areas, so not quite sure. This set actually comes with the oil fuel burner/warmer to make a complete set. Scratches. Discoloration and tarnished, needs a good polishing. Has black handles and both pans measures approximately 7 inches across, larger pan is approximately 3 inches deep and smaller pan is approximately slightly less than 2 1/2 inches deep.
