ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SERVANTS/BUTLERS CALL BELL/ FRONT DOOR DOOR BELL
An original Victorian servants/butlers bell or door bell. This is similar to the other one which I have just sold on Ebay except that the fixing method is not a bracket with screws but a spike which is driven into wood or built into the stonework. I cleaned one small area of the bell(see photo) but otherwise is in original condition as removed from the property- it has surface rusting. Residual paint, and general build up but could no doubt be cleaned up considerably if you wanted. The bell which is 3" diameter(max. works fine with a nice ring and is marked B(or 8) 12. Vintage Gamewell Fire Alarm Telegraph Umbrella Tapper- Chief's Upright Call Bell
For your consideration is an exceptionally nice Gamewell Umbrella Tapper. This particular example is different than most. As the parts are all nickel-plated brass as opposed to lacquered brass. It is a very high grade desk tapper that is in excellent plus to near mint condition showing only minor wear. The bell is 4 1/2 inches in diameter, and the entire apparatus is mounted to a nice solid oak base that is 9 1/4 inches by 5 inches. The overall height of this Chief's Bell is just under 8 inches to the top of the acorn nut. I have tested this item and it functions 100% correctly. All of the adjustment screws operate smoothly& properly. The bell armature strikes flawlessly when the proper direct current is applied. Julius Sax Electrical from Brentford in Middlesex handmade this system specifically for a client. Possible uses were a call system for a Surgery Waiting Room. A police cell bell system, Servants rooms indicator or for a Fire Station(See below) All pieces are intact. Cased in a light mahogany and with a Leather Covered Bell Push to the base. 24 numbers indicators total. Plexi Glass to Facia. Please note that this is untested. Antique Server This auction is for a very old and really nice antique condiment server that dates to the mid-1800s. The rare piece has a great silver plated base with four containers for holding different condiments. Like mustard, oil and vinegar and maybe spices. It has a little cup at the top that I believe was for sugar cubes because it has a little hook on the edge for holding a tongs or something(tongs are missing) In the center it has a call bell that is rung by just pulling back the mallet on the side. It has a spring inside to bring it back, but it’s really weak now and could be replaced. The center of the shaft has an unusual plaque indicating the patent was reissued back in 1859. The bottom has a very old silversmiths mark and I believe it’s English. Great piece and in great condition for it’s age but one of the feet has been replaced ... moreand the condiment jars are missing tops. Measures about 10¼" tall to the top of the handle. Antique SPURRIER Ampulla-Vocans OR Call Cruet/Claw and Ball Feet/Bell Works/1861
This is a WONDERFUL Antique Spurrier/England/Silverplate Call Cruet Set that I purchased at a recent high end estate sale in San Francisco. The bottom of the set is marked Spurrier Ampulla-Vocans or Call Cruet and dated Oct. 5th. 1861. The pottery cruets appear to have the Blue Willow pattern. The lid to the pepper shaker is on very tight and I have not tried to remove it. The lid to the sugar lifts off. The open salt has hairline cracks which I have pictured and a bit of wear to dark blue trim on the rim. The silverplate holder has 3 ball and claw feet. There is a tiny ding to the base, otherwise, very good condition! When you push the handle down a bell rings. This is a Partrick. Carter, Wilkins antique annunciator from the late 1880's. The markings are up inside the glass. It is impossible to get a picture without taking the unit apart. The wood is oak, been painted so often it has a very nice cracking glaze. There is also a brass/copper plaque attached at the bottom that states: Hammer Electric Co. Minneapolis. Minn. I did have to scratch off some paint to read the plaque at the bottom. I found a similar unit on ebay but it did not have the hardware on the top like this unit. Antique Partrick & Wilkins Butler Servant Call Box/Door Bell Annunciator Vintage
This is a Antique Partrick. Carter, Wilkins Butler Servant Call Box/ Door Bell Annunciator, it appears to be in nice, original, and complete vintage old condition. The case appears to be made of a light color oak wood with no damage to the wood. The wooden back and metal face plate painted gold letters all appear to be original, stamped at the top of the face plate is the name"Partrick, Carter& Wilkins Co. and the word"patented" It is a 4 unit annunciator alarm. The mechanical reset pull rod, located on the bottom of the wood case appears to work fine. While the unit appears to be electrically complete, it has not been electrically tested and is sold as is. It will be carefully wrapped with padding to best insure that it is received in fine condition. Please email with any additional questions and thanks for your interest.

I bought a large collection of bells that I will be listing on ebay.I typically have a few listed so please view them all.Early cast iron and brass mechanical service bell cir. 1860.S.Push down on the lever and it springs back up striking the bell giving it a long clear ring. The bell works very well.It looks like the styling of the old cash registers and I have it displayed next to mine to show how it looks.It really enhances the cash register and makes a perfect way to display the bell.It is in nice working condition and has no damage.The size is aprox. 5 1/2" tall.The listed shipping includes insurance and delivery confirmation.Thank you for looking and good luck!
