1930 's 1940 's G.E. Antique Bakelite Line Cord Multi - Position Selector Switch
This is an original old General Electric Black Bakelite Multi-Position Line Cord Switch. It's used. Large size at 3" long x 1 3/4" wide x 1" thick. Both sides have same design; a rosette at center of a starburst pattern. It's embossed with"U.S.A. and the old"G.E. in a circle logo. The thumb lever gives you that old fashioned solid"click" as you move it thru the selections- O( off) L( low) M( medium) H( high) It operated 2 window fans. It's wired so at"L" the low speed fan turned on. At"M" the low speed fan shut off and the medium speed fan turned on. At"H" both fans ran. I junked the fans but saved the Switch. There's one very tiny chip on the side where the 2 halves meet. And one chip inside on a molded screw boss. A great old retro industrial look. And somewhat ... morerare I believe. Very nice.
