This auction is for a Line 6 Variax Power Supply DI. The older Variax guitars did not have an internal battery.so if you wanted to use a Variax guitar with a traditional amp.you needed this power supply. The setup uses a TRS cable to connect the Variax guitar to this DI.and the TRS cable provides power back to the guitar. As you can see in the pictures.the foot switch allows you to feed the guitar to two different amps.then just tap the foot switch to go back and forth between two separate amp rigs. One output is an XLR and the other is a 1/4" output. The great thing is even the new Variax guitars can use this setup.and not worry about when the internal battery will run out of juice! Posted with

This switch is known as the Mark I. It the earliest power switch JMI used on their AC30s. It has a shaft length of 3/8” This switch has a round ball on the end of the shaft. It appears to say“1A. 250V. on one side. And“Amplifiers Made in England” on the other. There is a nice write-up reference(with pics) in Jim Elyea’s Vox Amplifiers Book(The JMI Years) on page 225.
