Up for bid is a Vintage Ribbed Glass Globe& Chrome Plated Metal Wall Mount Soap Dispenser Nice vintage item in overall good used condition. The glass globe is ribbed but it's hard to see in the pictures. No chips or cracks in either the glass or the metal wall mount bracket. The glass globe is clean with no chips and even has tiny air bubbles to show the vintage of the glass. The chrome plating on the metal bracket has scattered pitting and/or bubbling but overall not bad(see pictures) In good working order. VINTAGE BORAXO WALL MOUNT POWDER SOAP DISPENSER
Up for auction is a vintage Boraxo wall mount powder soap dispenser. As you can see from pics its in good condition. Original bright white porcelain paint. Lid has some paint chip areas and some rust colored spots but overall does not take away from the dispenser. The inside is nice and clean and there is still some powder soap residue in it. It does have the plunger and it moves up and down like it should. Dispensing the soap. Line up arrow on front of lid with black dot on front of dispenser and lid lifts off and is attached by chain which is also in great condition. Place lid back down and twist back to left and it locks in place. It mounts on a wall by the attached bracket. Possibly once found in a restaurant/gas station bathroom. It is marked on the top with what I believe is the brand, Lathurn. It is almost marked"American Dispenser Co. New York Pat. 2067601" I have looked that up and that patent number dates to 1937. The dispenser is chrome, measuring 6" top to bottom, having the dispenser piece extend out ... moreabout 6" from the wall. The body tapers from a 2" diameter bottom up to about a 3" diameter at the top. The chrome looks better in person that the pictures portray it. There are spots where the soap probably dripped that show some aging. There is one wall bracket attached to the dispenser and 2 others included. The interior has a glass insert that shows age and a little discoloration, certainly from use. I have not tried to remove it. The bottom of that glass is marked"Made in Canada" Overall I would say this is very good for the age. The only issue I find is that the part you would push in and the soap would come out will not move. I would imagine any soap residue may have that stuck and possibly with a little cleaning may free up. This estate find would be a great display piece, usable or not, in your bathroom filled with old school type items such a paper towel dispenser or vintage condom machine! Harder to find Vintage Porcelain BORAXO Wall Mount Soap Dispenser Made England &
These are harder to find. Vintage. Porcelain, BORAXO, Soap Dispenser. Photos taken of all sides/angles including inside, etc. There are a few places of wear on the porcelain. For the age, in my opinion, it still looks to be in good, used, vintage condition. Imprinted in the metal piece on top, Made in England and the Pat. Numbers. From the top to bottom, with the lid, it measures approximately 9 1/4 inches and that's measuring to the bottom of the metal piece that dispenses when pushed in. The diameter of the opening is approximately 3 1/2 inches. Please use the zoom in option on the photos to tell more about it and the condition. It does have the wall mount attached. Vintage Anco Skin Cleanser,Soap Dispenser from Greenville MI. Car Dealership
This Antique Anco Skin Cleanser dispenser comes to you from the old Ed Sharpe Auto Dealership in Greenville Michigan which has been boarded up for many years. The building is currently being renovated and this dispenser was removed from the wall by the sink where it was used many years ago. It is made of galvanized metal and measures about 7 3/4" tall with a diameter of about 3" The top comes off to fill it with Anco Skin Cleanser. A dry powdered hand soap. The spring loaded push tab pushes in and releases a measures amount of the soap. It still has the original mounting bracket with 2 holes for hanging it. It also has"Anco Skin Clenser" embossed in the metal just above the decal. It belongs next to some vintage auto collector's sink. I will pack it well and double box it for safe shipping. THIS IS A VERY VERY CLEAN VINTAGE DISPENSER. THE PLUNGER MOVES GOOD UP AND DOWN. I COULD NOT GET THE TOP OFF IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A KEY HOLE FOR THAT AND THERE IS NO KEY. I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS OR NOT YOU ARE BUYING IT AS IS. IN THE SHAPE THAT ITS IN IT WOULD BE WORTH FINDING OR MAKING A KEY. IT WOULD BE GREAT IN A MAN CAVE OR YOUR VINTAGE BATHROOM DECOR.
