Vintage Hungari Bunny Vase/Bowl. GB 55 - GAL BELA ???
This is a darling little fella. He is 4"3/4 in height and approx. 5" in width and depth. It's made from red clay. The outer part of the basket is left in raw clay and the bunny and inside of the basket are painted in a wonderful texture effect. Pattern and color. It's all a fired paint except for the eyes and nose. They are done in cold paint, and there is some missing eye paint on the eye next to the basket. The bottom is marked in hand and impressed. I'm not sure what to make of the name under gal bela. It's a h or a k-errmi h, u or w maybe then s. If you have a question please ask. Or if you want to tell me something thats great too. Quaker State 55 gal drum empty fair to decent shape
Up for auction is a 55 gal drum of/by Quaker State motor oil. Drum is empty. My Dad got this drum about 34 years ago(empty) don't know how old it was then, and had it filled with diesel fuel for a medium sized tractor. Once it was empty we did not get it refilled but just use a regular 5 gal container, obviously a lot more maneuverable! This has sat in the barn since then, and from programs like American Pickers I wonder if it has any value to anyone, so here it is: Could make a nice accent to a bar, garage or'man cave' as the pictures will show there is plenty of rust starting, but hey maybe that adds to the vintage character of the piece? Circa 1949 Handmade wood BAKELITE storage barrel 55 gal drum RED
There had been a bear skin rug stored in the barrel for years. So never paid much attention to it until recently. I'm not sure how many of these original Bakelite drums might still exist.Thought I would put it on ebay to see if there is any interest. Maybe even for the Bakelite museum? Or maybe it has too many condition issues. The label says BM12919 RED Phenolic Molding Material Bakelite Corporation Union Carbide and Carbon Corporation Bound Roack New Jersey I think it says the TARE Weight is 23. Gross weight was 323 so each barrel held 300# of material(and the empty barrel should weigh 23# It is 36" high and 22" across. Its heavy and bulky. So not sure how I would get it to you. Will put local pick up(Northern Chicago suburbs) for now and maybe we can get something arranged. Please email me if you have interest.
