I am not good with dating things: This has original paint, turn knobs on front cabinets, not sure if white ones are original? This was in the back of a garage, the screening is discolored on bottom pieces, I think that would be a easy fix. On one door a piece shaped 1/2 moon is missing on door, pretty close to edge, so not real noticable. On top several places where the nails are, wood split, but not deep or thru. Looks like it was up against something, some white marks on one side, again should clean up ok. Neat old wood on back, at bottom, looks aliitle weathered. Someone wrote roman numerals across back, alittle light. There are 2 front doors, each front screen measures 33 x15 1/2. 2 side screens ... more8 x33. 4 shelves inside, heavy wood. they measure 48x15x1. It is 46 in tall including legs. 49 wide, 17 deep. Very early bottle with embossed lettering from the days of quack medicine. An ornate safe depicted on the front. Along with the words: Warner's Safe Kidney& Liver Cure" across the top section, then"Rochester, N Y" along the bottom section and then on the underneath, the number 4 in an indented circle, with the circle being approx. 1.25" diam. The very top of the bottle has the early double collar. The bottle stands 9.50" tall, and has small bubbling inside the glass throughout. It needs to be cleaned inside, but I will leave that to the new owner. A wonderful old piece with no damage that I can see. Displays beautifully! Photos are part of my descriptions. Antique French Metal Strong Box with Key Mid 19th century or earlier? Handsome and decorative French heavy metal locking strong box. Measures approx. 7 3/4" long x 5 3/4" wide x 3.5 inches tall not including the handle. The seams on the bottom are dovetailed as pictured and the hinge is strong. The top has no decoration but has a great handle. The locking mechanism is working and it comes with one key. Marked with an incised#1 and it is near the middle on the bottom. 1934 Chicago World's Fair Souvenir Match Safe Pill Box ? by Morven NYC Pat Pend
I'm not sure wht this is. At first I thought it was a match safe. But it may have been a pill or even coin box or powder/rouge box. The sides and bottom are a hard black plastic and the top is either brass or goldtone metal. It measures 2 5/8" long x 1 15/16" across x 3/8" deep and there are 2 compartments inside. On the front where you open it reads MORVEN NYC PAT PEND(maker) and at center is the CHICAGO WORLDS FAIR LOGO and 1934& A CENTURY OF PROGRESS logo. There are some light surface scratches and oxidation to the metal which I tried to show as best I could. lots of photos and angles! Neat old World's Fair piece.
