Rare Very Early Night Vision Device
NO international bidders. SEE MANY PHOTOS BELOW* This is a rare vintage Night Vision Device Model NH-1(looks like NH but translates to MON-1) Serial#N318938. Made in the Ukraine. Looks and feels like an 8mm movie film camera from the 1950's or 1960s. Frame is constructed of metal. Which makes this device pretty heavy. Powered by 8 AA batteries. A new set of Energizer Alkaline battery have been installed. The viewfinder can be adjusted for clarity. The front lens can be adjusted from a wide view down to a small spot. There's a trigger to turn the unit on. The Night Vision Device does work. Press and hold the trigger down and the device stays on. The longer you've held the trigger down the longer the device seems to stay on without holding the trigger. It apparently does NEED A LITTLE LIGHT SOMEWHERE IN THE SCENE TO WORK. If its ... moretotally dark it won't give you any night vision. The lens cap has a very small hole in the center(see photo) which seems to allow the night vision device to be used in a dimly lit room. Which makes no sense but its there anyway. REMEMBER THIS IS VERY EARLY NIGHT VISION TECHNOLOGY so you get a green monochrome view which is definitely not very clear. Even with adjusting the viewfinder. NOTE: The green viewfinder photo below was taken through the tiny hole in the lens cap while mounted on the device looking outside at a very dull day. Night vision has come along way since this was manufactured. Possibly at that time this device was used in the military and had an unbelievable cost. This night vision scope is in very good pre-owned condition. It is very clean with only minor superficial scuffs and scrapes. But no dents or other noticeable damage. The batteries are both dead. But the inside battery compartments are very clean with no signs of corrosion. Given that the batteries are dead, I was not able to power this device on. It may work perfectly, but I can make no guarantees to its operation. This sale of this scope will be final with no returns. Included with this scope is an extra Telesor lens that will attach easily onto the scope. Its lens cap is also included. I know very little about this scope personally.
