Friend bought a frame through eBay and it came with this fork. Not sure on the specs other than its a full 1" inch full carbon steerer tube with carbon fork. Listen- these pedals are beasts! I'm not sure why Gibraltar hasn't marketed the Catapult to death. They would be way more popular if a larger collection of drummers knew about them. You can find plenty of descriptions on other sites if you like, but here are some facts: the pedals are big, they even out-longboard my Axis A longboards(see the picture for reference; please note, the Axis pedal is not included! For reference only. The length of the pedal is about 17" If Shaq ever runs out of money from Kazaam royalties and has to play metal for a living. He might choose these. If you look at the side profile picture. You notice it has an unusual mechanism. There is a wheel at the end of the pedal which rolls down that bar when you push with your foot; as that bar is pushed forward, the beater attached to it is slammed into your ... morebass drum. You can see the spring on the bottom, just above the baseboard. The springs are pretty tight and you may need pliers to adjust, but otherwise a drum key and your hands should be enough for tweaking the beater. Up front, there is a neat little contoured rubber piece that your bass hoop will rest on when you clamp the pedal to it. The pedals are in used shape- there is assorted, standard wear from playing but otherwise solid! The wheels can be slightly left or right of center on the bar but both work perfectly. How do they play? They feel very smooth. Not like any other pedal really. I saw articles saying how Gibraltar engineered it so most of your foot attack was transferred directly to the beater. Indeed, I don't feel much resistance when playing, yet the beaters still snap back into position pretty quickly. The attack is very punchy for how easy they feel. An added bonus. I've outfitted each with an Axis Sonic Hammer beater! Those run you ~$20 apiece. They're in used shape, some tape residue from break patches and one has a few little dings that aren't significant to performance/integrity. Each pedal cost ~$110 new. The serial number 88846 should bring this rare find to the end of 1996. Why is this important? I'll tell you why- MusicMan First Launched the Axis in 1996. Which was right after Eddie Van Halen took the rights to his EVH Signature away from MusicMan. This is a really rare find indeed because this Axis is not only in Excellent Condition going on 17 years old, but it has a hard tail bridge. Very, Very Rare, indeed. This guitar is in Excellent Condition. This has a Bird's Eye Maple Neck which is very clean. Usually. These necks get blackened and gooked up from playing. Not this one! Clean, Clean! Look at the photos. They show an Axis ... moreworthy of a museum display. There is NO BUCKLE RASH on the rear body and not even any light playing scratches. I have to wonder if this guitar was played much in 16 years. It is in Amazing Condition. There are two photos above with a pen tip. They show tiny scratches that are on this guitar. You can see just how minimal we are talking. If you get up close and personal and start angling this one into a bright light, you will find some other very minor blemishes. You could, in fact, hang this guitar on a wall of new guitars in a shop and no one would question it. It is very clean and glossy. Ebay allows 12 photos so I put the ones I believe best represent this Axis. That thin, light scratch next to the neck pickup above with a pen is the worst blemish on this one. CIRCA 1968 – NYSTROM EDUCATIONAL TILT AXIS GLOBE; CLASSROOM 16-INCH MODEL
If you attended grade school within the past 45 years. You'll remember having a globe like this in your classroom. You're viewing a vintage tilt model Nystrom 16-inch Nystrom Pictorial Relief Globe. It was published at the height of the cold war(circa 1968) when Russia was still known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic(USSR) The Publisher. A.J. Nystrom& Co. Chicago, Illinois is over 100 years old and the oldest publisher of maps and globes for classroom use in the United States. The company began on April 1, 1903 shortly after Albert J. Nystrom became the exclusive agent for W. A. K. Johnson, school map publishers of Edinburgh, Scotland. Nystrom personally acted as president and managing editor for his company until 1923 and continued on as president until 1983. The Company started off with three people; an office worker, ... morea map mounter and Mr. Nystrom himself. The company moved locations three times as it grew rapidly in its early days before finally purchasing the current Elston Ave. Chicago location in 1928. The plant expanded for the third and final time in 1968 when this globe was published. Two years before this globe's publishing date, A.J. Nystrom& Co. became a subsidiary of Field Enterprises, who also owned World Book, television and radio stations, and two Chicago newspapers. The Details. As you might imagine. This Nystrom globe has seen some use over it's 45 year history, but it's in very good shape considering. There are a few small areas of minor scratches, cuts, scuffs and slight abrasions, and a minor dent in the Southern part of the Atlantic Ocean. The metal tilt axis stand also shows signs of handling and a little rust on the hardware, but again, no dents. The globe was apparently kept in an indoor environment during it's schoolroom career. On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being best, I would rate the condition of this globe a 7. The nostalgic value of this globe is what really makes this an item of intrigue as a slice of genuine Americana. Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport guitar
Hello- Up for auction/ sale is my ernie ball music man axis super sport guitar. This is one awesome guitar! First the good stuff then the dings. This guitar is a tone machine. Just about any sound you want you can get it very easily. I action is GREAT and the sustain is fabulous. I just had it cleaned/ serviced/ restrung(with 10's) pots cleaned and checked- it's in 100% working order. The tuners are locking and this guitar(when you get your strings streatched out well) stays in tune unbelievably. The neck is really comfortable and plays super fast. The neck is covered with a Gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend. It has a sunburst finish that actually has red sparkles in it. Very cool but not too over the top. It will ship in the original case. The case is not in 100% new shape, it has a few scratches here and there, but ... morecloses tightly ad has no holes or any major damage at all. Over all an incredible instrument. Now. The issues- This is not a new instrument. I have had it for about 6 years and it has picked up a few minor dings and a couple chips. I have tried to get the issues in the photos. There is one chip on the bfront of the body where the binding is, there is a ding next to the neck pickup- one on the headstock, and a bit of scuffing on the back. There is no belt buckle rash. These issues are not big at all and if you wanted to have them repaired, it would not take much. This guitar is used, but not abused. That said, I would give it a 6.5 to 7.5 compared to perfectly new out of 10 on cosmetics. These guitars are selling new for nearly $1800. AXIS Percussion Longboards A-L2 Double Kick Bass Drum Pedal w/Iron Cobra beaters
I know what you are thinking. That is a sweet retro bench in the background.but it's not included in the auction. What you will get though. Is arguably the smoothest and most durable double pedals on the market for drummers! I have 2 felt Iron Cobra beaters on these pedals, as I preferred the balanced weight of these beaters to the traditional Axis beaters. Every Axis drummer I know recommends the same) These Axis A-L2 double pedals are used. But are in great shape. I admit that I am a bit of a drum snob and only use the best gear and drums, and with that I take great care of all of my equipment. These have always been kept in my studio, or in professional road cases when on the road. Axis pedals are made out of aircraft aluminum and are extremely durable. The drive shaft and U-joints are built much thicker and stronger than most all ... moreother drum pedals. They are designed for high speeds and don't require much force. They have a direct drive shaft instead of a chain or strap drive like most other pedals. All this means it's VERY difficult to wear these pedals out. These pedals have cosmetic wear such as some scratches. But they function wonderfully. Most importantly, the U-joints are still snug with no wiggle room in them. Also, all of the springs are still in great shape. If you play them lightly like I did, how they were designed to be played, they will stay this way. I've had other pedals in the past such as DW 9000's and 5000's. The first thing to started showing wear is the U-joints. The component can start to loosen, causing there to be a slight lag with your slave pedal. I have NEVER had this problem with these Axis pedals. I honestly don't want to be selling these, but the tour is over and the extra cash is needed. Other than some yellowing of the glue where the equator line was glued on this globe looks brand new.Whoever had it all these years took excellent care of it. The base and rotating axis are heavy duty powder coated metal. The globe is unique in the fact that all mountainous regions are raised on this globe.
