Panasonic DMR EH-55 DVD Recorder DVR 200GB Hard Drive Why pay the cable company $10-$20 month for a DVR when you can own your own. Thats what I did. These units are very desireable and sought after but no longer made. Many diehard owners will pay $250 or more just to get them repaired rather than give them up. The only reason I'm selling mine is my cable company changed how they deliver the signal to my home and now I must use their Cablebox/DVR. This machine is so AWESOME. I owned 3 of them, and this is the last one I have. After this auction I will have no others, so don't loose your chance to grab my last one. One of the best features of this unit is the built in"TV Guide" software system. The unit decodes a signal embeded in the cable signal that tells it all the names of the shows and you know everthing about the shows ... moreyou want to record. It's a simple and beautifully elegant system that works great and is seamless to the user once you enter your zip code and a few other details for your first time set up. Please check with your cable company about compatability. I'M SORRY TO SEE THE MACHINE GO. THEY ARE AWESOME. Unit is in good working order and comes from a smoke free home. It shows the most minor of wear and tear. PLEASE NOTE: There are some tiny minor scratches on the top of the unit as shown in the very last photo. This is from the other machine being stacked on it. Also the on/off button on the remote is not currently working. I never had a problem with it until the cable company changed how they send the signal to my house. It's possible the on/of button is worn out but I doubt it. My guess is it will work when you have the unit hooked up to cable that supports the TV guide software feature or it might be a software setting in the machine that needs to be changed.
