This is a superb and very fine quality silver snuff box with a massive oval cut/ facetted citrine stone mounted into the lid. The snuff box is rectangular in shape with rounded and canted corners and curving sides. All four sides and the lid and bottom of the box are very finely chased with swirling leaves. The centre of the lid has a massive oval cut citrine stone- see the pictures from the inside of the box and you will see just how deep the stone extends down inside the box. The inside of the box is gilded. The snuff box is 3-1/2 inches/ 89 mm wide and 2-1/2 inches/ 63 mm deep. It stands 7/8 inches/ 22 mm high and weighs 160 grams.
