Up for auction is a Stihl cut off saw for parts or repair. I put a new rope on it to see how it pulls over. It has good compression and spark. I didn't put gas in it and tried to start it, so i don't know if it runs. As you will see in the pictures that the throttle case and button is broke and the rubber filter cover has cracks in it and the recoil is missing a bolt. It does have a 12" blade on it now and not sure if it can take a 14" one. I don't see the size of the motor any where on the saw. Please look at the pictures for the best description.The last picture is the spark. I'm not out to make money on the shipping, you pay what it cost me. Makita Gas-Powered Concrete Saw for Parts or Repair Makita gas-powered concrete saw. 14" blade. Average used condition. Plenty of concrete dust residue, some missing parts on the air cleaner area. After about a dozen pulls on the cord. I was able to get this saw to start and run. At first, it would run for a while and then stall, but after a few more tries it would keep running fairly consistently. To me, it didn't seem to be running as smoothly as it should; it sounded like it needs a tune-up. I pulled the trigger and the engine revved up. But the blade didn't spin. After a few minutes and a few more tries, the blade started to somewhat reluctantly spin, and eventually it picked up speed. After that. I let the engine idle for about an hour, pulling the trigger and spinning the blade every once in a while. I didn't have any ... moreconcrete to cut, so I tried to cut a line through my lawn. The blade got about an inch through the sod and then stopped turning. I tried it a few more times with varying success, but basically it seemed like the blade would spin reasonably well until it encountered any sort of load. I don't know if the problem with the saw is some sort of clutch that drives the blade. Or the fact that the engine wasn't running strongly enough to power the blade. I let the engine keep idling. And eventually it stalled. After that, I couldn't get it started again. I assumed it had run out of gas, but there's still a small amount of gas in the very bottom of the tank. Maybe that small amount of gas isn't enough to get the engine started, or maybe there was some other dormant problem that caused the engine to stop running. Obviously. I don't know a heck of a lot about power equipment, so I've done my best to describe what happened during my testing. I'll sell this saw as-is, for parts or repair only. Stihl Ts400 Concrete cut off Saw 14" Needs repair cutoff ts410 ts420 gas engine
Thanks for looking. Up for bid is a used Stihl ts400 cutoff saw. I purchased this used last summer to do some projects around the house. And it worked great. I went to use it again last week and I was unable to get it to start. Here is what I know. The only oil/gas mix I had to use is at least a year old. Could play a part in not getting it to start. Engine is not seized. It feels like it has compression when you go to start it. but it makes a"wheezing" noise like it may have a leak somewhere(but I really don't know much about small engines) pull start does not completely recoil. Leaves about 6" hanging out. I pulled out the air filter after I couldn't get it to start and it was pretty clogged with concrete dust. I removed the filter and the carb looks clean. I have never used one of these, so I don't know how they work for sure, so I didn't try to power it up. Please take a good look at the pictures to see what parts might be missing or needed. What you see is what you get. Condition: This Saw is Used and Motor is Locked up. Missing recoil blades housing muffler etc but still has a lot of good usable part. I have not tested for spark as the motor is locked up. Saw shows typical signs of use as shown in photos. The side belt cover has numbers ingraved on it. The Saw shows some signs of Age and Use. Lots of Great Parts. I can not fully Test all the Functions of the Saw so It is Sold"As Is" Not Running for Parts or Repair. The Blade Arm May be Removed before shipping to Save you on Shipping Cost. Husqvarna 371K Handheld Concrete Saw Not In Working Condition For Parts /Repair
For sale is a Husqvarna 371K handheld concrete saw with a 12" blade guard. This saw is for parts or rebuild, I do not think it is firing, it could be the coil or switch I didn't remove the muffler to check the piston so I am selling as-is, as- found, the saw is loose on the front in the frame seems to be one of the shocks, this has a good many good parts or a good rebuild,see the pics for the cosmetic condition of this saw it. It is missing some screws on the top cover other than that it appears to be complete I ship this to the continental USA USPS parcel select unless other service requested I drained fuel and removed the blade guard and included it in the same carton,this saw is packaged and ready to be shipped,thanks for looking.
