Up for auction is a very unusual L.L. BEAN Sharpening Stone in the original marked wooden box. Freeport. Maine. In overall good condition, box has some minor wear from age and use. Dovetailed edges and two brass hooks used to keep box closed. Stone is excellent. Box measures a total of 9.25" long x 3.5" top to bottom x 1.75" tall. Absolutely stunning Hand Carved Green Stone Chinese Sword or large knife. It is very heavy and it measures nearly 20 inches long and 8 inches tall(at highest point) The tip of the sword has damage as does one of the pillars(see Pics) Don't know the exact stone used. I have seen actual jade have the natural discoloration that appears but is very hard stone and could be a stone different than Jade. The sword has a series of circular stone rings above the dragon, one of the loose rings appears to be missing. VERY Mini Little Gold Painted Plated Magnetic Metal SQUIRREL on Stone Cylinder
PRODUCT: Item Description: This is a very miniature little Squirrel figurine mounted on what appears to be a polished stone cylinder. The little guy is heavy for it's size at 3/10 of an ounce. He is magnetic. So he is probably nickel or iron or some combination including one of the magnetic metals. This little guy is gold painted.I think, but it could be plated. I'm not an expert in this area so I'm not totally sure. The details on the little guy are very realistic for his tiny size. There is some paint loss around the feet area that shows up in my 3-5x blown up photos. If you look at photo#4, you will see a dark spot on his side. I do believe he was attached to something once upon a time. The little guy is not new by any means and is probably a vintage piece. He is VERY UNUSUAL and would add something different to your collection ... moreor project. If you plan to display him as shown in photos 1 or 2, you will need a little Museum Putty or Rubber Cement to hold him in place. The stone base is super slick and he is top heavy. I have the putty in stock. If you would like a little, just let me know in the notes when you make your payment. Overall the piece is about 9/16" long x 1/4" wide x 7/8" tall. This is a Union song composed by W. D. Stone of the 118 th Ohio Volunteers. What is unique is the song is written in red ink. I’ve never seen anything written in that color from Civil War soldier’s letters. Thomas R. Owens. Belonged to Company F, 118th Regiments of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was mustered in 1862& killed in action in 1864. They were stationed in Ky for a time to guard against Morgan’s raiders and threats to Cinti. Charles Pomeroy Stone(September 30. 1824– January 24, 1887) was a career United States Army officer. Civil engineer. And surveyor. He fought with distinction in the Mexican–American War. Earning two brevet promotions for his performance in the conflict. After resigning and surveying for the Mexican Government. He returned to the U.S. Army to fight in the American Civil War. Stone was reportedly the first volunteer to enter the Union Army. And during the war he served as a general officer. Noted for his involvement at the Battle of Ball's Bluff in October 1861. Held responsible for the Union defeat. Stone was arrested and imprisoned for almost six months, mostly for political reasons. An original MIDWAY AIRLINES travel poster featuring ATLANTA and the Stone Mountain CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL. Vintage 1987. Fine print on the bottom left of the poster says: C. 1987 MIDWAY AIRLINES INC. Measures 34 1/2" x 22 1/4" on glossy poster stock. Condition is overall EXCELLENT with no rips. Holes, stains or fading. Bright, vivid colors. It does have, though, alot of handling crinkles with some fine line surface loss along some of those crinkles. You really can't see it in the photos but it also has a series of soft folds that run across the poster from the top to the bottom. These folds are about 4" apart. It looks like the poster was not rolled correctly and the folds settled in during storage. A good framing/mounting would take care of these issues. Still BEAUTIFUL! Shipping is free in the USA. I am selling Antique Copeland SPODE Creamer which I acquired at the very high-end estate sale. The age of this particular item is unknown. However, from my research of the item and the brand, as stated below, the exact stamp this item has appears some on pieces of nineteenth-century English porcelain. Item is in Great Condition without any chips. The pattern on the creamer is of Asian design and appears to be hand-painted.
