This is a cute vintage belt from the 1980s. There is a stamp on the buckle that says YEN China House. So that might be the brand name. The band of the belt is made out of four strands of gray rope, and the rope has a shine to it. The rope has a soft texture, and it is very stretchy. The four strands are held together in three places by a cluster of small gold tone metal pieces. The belt has a lovely enamel buckle that has a floral design(I think the flowers are Irises) The belt closes with a hook on the underside of the buckle. The belt measures 28 inches from the hook on the underside of the buckle to the other end when laying flat and unstretched. I was able to stretch it to 36 inches pretty easily and I could stretch it to 42 inches at absolute max. The band of the belt is roughly 1.25 inches wide. Braided Rope Belt 34-38" M L Vintage 80s Dark Blue Aqua Wide Chunky Stretch This is a fun vintage belt from the 1980s. The main part of the belt is made out of braided pieces of rope done in a dark royal blue and a lighter aqua blue. And the rope has a slight shine to it. In the back, there are two large rope loops that are stretchy, and there is a gold tone metal hook attached to one loop. The belt closes by attaching the hook to the opposite loop. The belt measures 34" tip to tip when laying flat and unstretched. I was able to stretch it to 38" pretty easily. And 42" is the max stretch(I could not get it to stretch beyond that) The belt is roughly 2 inches wide at its widest point. PLEASE NOTE that the listing is just for the belt. This auction is for a Camillus Cutlery Co Sailor's Rope Knife. The knife is in excellent shape. The blade is full as if new and has good snap with handles that have no chips. Cracks, or breaks. This knife I would consider as being in good shape. Vintage 4-Line Tang Stamped Pre-WWII Camillus Cutlery Co. N.Y. USA Sailors Rope/Raft Knife W/Jigged Cocobolo Handles and Fully Pinned Shackle. Strong"Walk& Talk" Positive half Stops. Used Vintage Condition Beautifully distributed"Patina" on the Blade and Steel Shackle. Steel Liners and Springs, bolsters. The entire knife is a Steel constructed Knife actually made between 1916 to 1941. The Four line tang stamp was reintroduced for a very short period in 1945-46 also but these later sailor knives did not have a Fully pinned Shackle or Jigged Cocobolo Handles. NY USA c1941-c1946 Camillus Cutlery Company(1902-2007) One of the largest suppliers of“Military Knives” for the US Military Service before and during WWII. The Rope Knife was designed and approved for use as safety equipment carried by the US Coast Guard Service personnel Service during WWII. US Coast Guard rope knives come either with or without Coast Guard marking. At the height of WWII. The use of brass was strictly controlled by the US government and only used as a strategic material. Military knives were made without this ubiquitous brass material and hence. Were mostly made of all steel material such as this Vintage Rope Knife. This all steel rope knife has a single 3-5/8” long sheep foot shaped high carbon steel blade. The blade is full, tight ... moreto the frame with no wobble and has a super strong back-spring opening and closing snap action with a half-stop safety feature. It has a short finger pull with a visible choil that reveals no excessive loss of blade material thru the years. The single blade has a four-line tang marking indicating CAMILLUS over CUTLERY CO. over CAMILLUS N.Y. over U.S.A. This four-lined marking suggest Camillus production runs from c1941 thru c1946. The beautiful patina on this knife has been kept and preserve thru the years as a collectible knife. The only non-steel part of this rope knife is the pair of jigged red walnut wood handles(No cracks. Just normal age scratches) The rest, frames, bolsters and pins are made of steel. There is a separately pinned oversized 1/8” round steel shackle with a decorative end pinned connection to the wooden handle. Overall length of the knife at closed position is 4-3/8” long. This paperback booklet measures approximately 5-1/4 x 8-1/2" and consists of 15 printed pages(including the inside rear cover) The booklet has b/w illustrations. There is a single perforation through the entire booklet at the top. This booklet is in good. Used condition. The cover is in good condition with light soiling, some light creases, the owner's initials, pencilled notations on the inside rear cover, one tiny edge nick, and one very small hole. The pages are in very good condition with very clean, white surfaces.
