Vintage 1970's TOMY Big Loader Construction Set 100% mechanical WORKS GREAT!
This is a Vintage 1970's Tomy Big loader construction set. It is a really cool way to show kids how mechanics work! It is Complete and I put it together and it was tons of fun. Once you turn it on it is all done by mechanics. The motorized cart runs off of AA Battery and it starts as a dump truck then automatically switches to a hauler and goes under a delivery chute and picks up rocks and then dumps the rocks and truck reverses. Switches to front end loader, Scoops up rocks in dump truck then dump truck delivers back to delivery chute then dumps and starts the cycle over again. I took pics of each station. You are viewing a Camocean 60's style hydraulic dump truck. It is made of pressed steel and measures approximately 20" long by 8" high. These ZIL-130 Dump Trucks were manufactured in Russia by Camocean in 1993-1994. Very large scale. Looks to be about 1/10th or so. Very hard to find in the United States, exspecailly in red. These were distributed in Russia and the east bloc countries. Bulgaria, Romania, Yugoslavia, etc. The doors open and the steering works off a lever under the front bumper. Dump bed has a cylinder that is spring loaded and still works. The truck in in good untouched original condition but has a flaw on the top of the truck. There is one tray within the box that is mostly still covered by the original factory shrink wrap. A few `bits& bobs` appear to of moved underneath it but it looks likely to be complete. However I am not sure just how many `pieces` there are meant to be and I am not willing to undo the factory wrap to count, so please super-size and study photos as if you are visiting this ad you will more than likely have more idea than me, I can not guarantee its 100% complete but looks to be! The instruction manuel ... moreappears to be missing although it seems from my research these are available to buy separately on ebay. The box lid demonstrates 5 various models that can be made from the set. The set is French and has a number 030205 along box spine. A small part of the orange plastic tray has splintered off as seen in photos. It is not recommended for Children less than 36 months old. In summary. Original box set with box showing signs of wear, inner tray sealed parts look intact although some display slight tarnish, no instruction booklet. I bought these at an estate sale. Sadly the elderly grandmother thru away the boxes they had been resting in for so many years. They got played with when her grandchildren came, then cleaned and put away. They are very clean, considering the age. My pictures are very close and should tell the story of condition. The little dump truck does have a small crack in the wind shield, it is not broken thru. The crane truck is probably newer than the others but I do not know that for sure.
