NEAT OLD VINTAGE CAST IRON SIGN! I admit I do not know my metals. But I think this is cast iron. It is thick but maybe not iron(could it be aluminum? and does it matter to collectors/ I don't know)please ask questions if this matters to you and I will try my best to answer. It weights 1 pound and 1 ounce if that helps. It is original and is made of some type of metal. It is approx. 12" long and 4.5" tall. It is EMBOSSED with the letters and the edge sticking up/out- I took an angled view pic so you could see it. I also too a side pic so you could judge thickness- maybe 1/3 of an inch or so. It does have some wear but I think my pic is close enough to show it all very clearly. It is also dirty and I have not tried to clean it. Lastly my pic was taken outside and I think the sun glare has lightened the color just a bit. To me ... moreit looks a little lighter in the pic and the actual red is more of what you expect the red to look like. It is old but it is not faded. It is a very good looking old piece! This auction is for an Antique Wrench. This does not have a visible manufacturers name. This appears to be made of copper. The center diamond shape measures approximately 7/8" wide& 1 1/4" tall. From top to bottom corner. The wrench measures approximately 7 3/4" from end to end. There are small indented numbers. I can make out a 4- huge space- 11-10? Possibly from 1910. This looks like it was either for an Antique Fire Hydrant or Fire Sprinkler. Please see pictures for close-ups of condition details. Everything is sold as-is.
