Large Antique Wood& Brass Tripod Hello. For your consideration is this large. Early, brass and wood tripod, suitable for large and heavy transits or levels. I believe the wood is mahogany or walnut. The outside diameter of the all- brass head is 3 13/16" The threads are fine. And in my opinion are in good condition. The total length is 56" when folded up. I can find no makers mark on this heavy duty tripod. Only a couple of ISC identification marks(Iowa State College, no w the University of Iowa State) The nicely sculpted legs are approximately 1 3/4" thick at the broadest. And have all brass hardware other than the metal feet. One of the legs has a slight warp. There are of course chips. RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN MARITIME NAUTICAL COPPER RIVET
Up for sale is RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN. This is such a great find because as just stated it is UNMODIFIED. Meaning it has NOT been converted over to electric. This lamp features a brass body with handmade copper rivets. All the hardware(rivets. Hinges, hasps, etc) appear to be hand made/forged. The ANCHOR brass label is applied on the top section which opens to expose the burner. The hook and chain to secure the hinged top are still intact. There is also a hinged top cap for flame inspection. When you open the top cap you will see that the chimney is triple insulated. It has a Frenzel type lens which appears to be old and original glass. The oil tank and burner assembly fits snug inside the lantern. Upon removal of the burner assembly from the oil tank. The wick is new and the inside of the oil tank has no residue ... moreor oil smell, suggesting it has to have been either cleaned very thoroughly(with several areas inside the tank unreachable) or possibly never used! Even though it seems to be the latter of the two options we still say possibly due to now documentation or provenance on the lantern beyond the current owner. This lack of evidence of use is consistent with inside of the metal chimney where no obvious traces of soot can be found. The base has aspiration vents all around it. The burner's wick knob has the words"SHERWOODS LTD. B'HAM MADE IN ENGLAND" on it. Making this from the very early 1900s at the latest from what we can find on the company. We have no reason to believe that this burner insert is anything but original to the lantern. Meaning we believe the lantern to be from the same time period. If anyone knows any different please share with us. In use this lamp would have been hauled up the ship's mast with halyards. To secure it as such. The lamp is equipped with substantial brass bail handles on the top and bottom. These are attached to heavy cast brass brackets riveted to the body of the lamp. Copper Pot Dovetail Rivet Primitive Antique Footed Wrought Iron 1800s Hearth
This is an antique.Primitive hand wrought,riveted solid copper,open fire,hearth three footed pan with a hand forged/ wrought iron handle that is a continual part of one leg from the late 1800's. The legs and handle are riveted with copper studs. There is dovetailing on the bottom. The rim is rolled which was difficult when made by hand. There is a rim seam at the handle. The pot measures 5 1/2" high and the bowl is 3" deep x 5 7/8" in diameter. The legs measure 3" and are curved out,the handle 7" and weighs 1 3/4 lbs. This piece is crudly made but in good shape for its age. There is a loosining to one of the legs but the piece sits level. There is also some uneveness to the rim where it was possibly dinged years ago from a fall and some minor denting along the bottom edge of the bowl. There are minor scratches ... moreto the outside surface.The dovetailing is intact. The patina is a warm color. There is a bit of verdigris you can see in places under the rolled seam and verdigris in the spaces where the legs are attached. The inside is very grungy but I have never dared to clean it.This was displayed for many years in many kitchens over many generations. I am a bit obsessive when it comes to light weight saddles. I am intrigued by their materials technology and impressed by their purposeful beauty. And of course I have accumulated quite a few. Many of them having never been used. But I have decided to cut back and sell some of them to free up some cash and some storage space. This is a classic Selle San Marco Regal Girardi saddle with copper rivets and a perforated genuine calfskin cover. I bought it brand new in 1990 and used it for a while on my first carbon fiber road bike. Then I replaced it with a titanium railed Regal and this one has been stored away in my closet ever since. It is approximately 158mm wide and weighs 380 grams according to my digital scale. It is in very nice condition. Some of the"Regal" lettering has worn off on the sides of the saddle. And there is an imperfect ... morespot in the leather on the back right edge. It is not cut or torn, but just scuffed slightly and not perfectly smooth. Both imperfections are purely cosmetic, and I have taken close-up pictures so you can see for yourself. It is one of the most comfortable saddles I have ever ridden. Plus it was handmade in Italy rather than mass produced in China. I will include the original box with the saddle. AS BRAND COPPER RIVET SETTING TOOL SET, LEATHER WORK
Not real familiar with these type rivet setters but will try and describe what they are to the best of my ability. They appear to be made of solid stainless. No rust, but they are a bit dusty looking. There are a total of nine decorated punches in a heavy and very solid decorative base with the AS Branding on the back. The tool arrangement would indicate that they are for setting the following copper rivets(with burrs? size 14, size 10/12 and 8/9, as this is what is engraved on the handles with three individual punch tools for each size range. These are made to be heavy and solid due to the force necessary to properly set and shape rivet heads. One should only use heavy non-steel mallets or mauls for this work to protect the striking surface on the tools and though you can tell these have been struck, there is almost no damage and certainly ... moreno peening over of the metal. I would describe these as excellent new condition. There is little doubt that most of you will know more about this than I do. I can find no source for these and so do not even know how to price them but do accept that shipping will be a monster due to weight. SO, lets do it, for these pro-quality tools I will cover the shipping and let you decide the fair price above my low start-up price. I will start the bidding at a'no reserve' fraction of these tools value and to make it even more interesting. I'll pay the shipping. This is a very nice 1.5 Qt Stainless Steel bottom pot by Revere Ware. This is a nice. Strong, tough Revere Ware item. It measures 3 1/4" tall and 6 1/4" wide across the open top. It appears to be in very good used condition and is very shiny and clean. This is the older style with the double ring stamp on the bottom. The pot has no dents, no dings, and comes with a lid. Pan handle is tight and secure. It is an older model with the rivets in the handle, and all rivets are in good shape. The head measures 5/16" and the length is almost 6/16" 5-5" is stamped on each of the heads. The second batch of copper rivets measures 1/2" at the head and 14/16" long. This back also contains the washers.

The oval-shaped paddle with holes is almost flat. But it does have a very slight bowl to it. The long handle is attached by copper rivets. We found no makers marks. It looks hand-made.
