The clock is physically undamaged. There is small round nut(think cuff link. Screw back) missing from behind one of the ornamental tassels. I can't imagine what it is there for. If I take the clock in hand and gently rock it clockwise and counterclockwise, it will run for a period of time. It will need attention. I don't know why but my photo of the face shows it as darker at the bottom and lighter or a bit washed out looking at the top. Be assured that is not the case as it is very evenly toned throughout.
