Birtcher's Word Book Sketch of Medicine & Pharmacy S E Massengill 1920 medicine
Birtcher's Word Book. Medical and Surgical Terminology is about 6 inches by 3 1/2 inches from 1945. A Sketch of Medicine and Pharmacy by S E Massengill, M.D. is about 9 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches. Both are in fair condition. They look dirty but when I wipe them with a tissue, the tissue is clean so I guess they are just old. The Massengill book is probably from the 1920's. It's a very interesting history of medicine which includes Pasteur and Nightingale. It begins in the Stone Age and has pictures of old labs and apothecaries from the 1700's.
