The design station opened on October 30. 1914, as the second-largest train station in the country. The building encompassed 850,000 square feet(79,000 m 2) The ceiling in the Grand Hall is 95 feet(29 m) high, there are three chandeliers weighing 3,500 pounds(1600 kg) each, and the Grand Hall clock has a six-foot(1.8-m) diameter face. Due to its central location, Kansas City was a hub for both passenger and freight rail traffic. The scale of the building reflected this status. Panja AMX touch screen View Point Monitor charging station and Batteries PANJAtm
Up for your consideration is a Panja(or AMX) Viewpoint touch screen remote control unit. This item appears to work. The screen comes on and the charging station charged the batteries and currently turns on and touch screen works. Item has been in our warehouse for sometime now. We closed down our Audio Video division in 2010 and early 2011. One of our customers back then was Nike and many of the items were either for them. Or from them on upgrades and trade ins. This unit has the Nike swoosh on one of the menus. So it was probably removed from one of there conf. Rooms on one of the remodel projects when a new install was being done. Only issue I see is the right side outer buttons are stuck or not working. The touch screen and left side seem fine. We don't know much else about the unit since all our AV people are gone now. So we have ... moreknow knowledge on how to program or do much else with this device. Were just still trying to clean up the warehouse and sell all the items. This is a vintage hand colored post card. Postally used, post marked in 1907. Caption Reads- Puget Sound Naval Station. Publisher- Lowman& Hanford Co. The overall condition is as seen; always check corners and edges for possible wear as grading is subjective(see scans) All postcards are standard size. Approximately 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" Buyer pays a reasonable combined s/h of 1-4 items = $2.50. I always try to ship within 24 hours of receiving payment. There is no sales tax. I have been selling on ebay since 1998 and have an excellent feedback record. Thank you. The Golden Age of postcards. Marked by the"divided back" began on March 1, 1907. The address had to be written on the right side of the back of the postcard while the left side was reserved for writing messages. At this time in American history the postcard hobby ... morebecame a public addiction. Publishers printed millions of cards in this era. Most postcards were printed in Germany, the world leader in lithographic processes. Then at the height of this country wide mania, WWI began. It brought with it. A crash in the hobby as the supply of postcards from Germany came to an end. At this time, English and U.S. publishers seized the opportunity to fill the gap with their products, many of which were of lower quality. This coupled with the recurrent influenza epidemics, and WWI war shortages all had an adverse affect on the American postcard hobby. Then. As a last straw, the proliferation of the telephone, provided a fast, reliable means to keep in touch, at least for short distances in larger cities. The phrase, Drop me a Line" became less important and hence, it is considered that the"Golden Age of Postcards" came to an end about 1915. The postcard view is now highly sought after by many institutions(including the Smithsonian) and individuals. As it serves as a historical record of the past. It is connected with New Jersey by twin tunnels under the Hudson River, 60 feet below the surface, also connected with Long Island by tunnels under 32nd and 33rd Streets. Station was opened on September 8, 1910; cost of entire work over $100,000,000. Unused card in good condition with some corner wear.
