Platemaker was fully functionable and working properly about three years ago. It has been shut down and sitting since. The production date on the machine was 9/9/1998. All camera parts. Lightbulbs, feed tapes& reservoir tanks are in good shape. There are no missing pieces. It has been sitting for over three years. So I'm sure it will work but may also be used for parts. This is a Mitsubishi ctp50 instant platemaker It works well but is an older unit. It uses silvermaster film and chemicals. There is a good amount of ten inch wide plate material still in the machine. I saw a blog online that said the glass will sometimes break if the operator isn't careful. The blogger said he got a new glass from his local glass company for much less than one would have cost from NuArc. Aside from the glass and quite a bit of dust. NuArc Model 26-1K Mercury Exposure Platemaker This platemaker worked fine before we put it storage. It was replaced by an AB Dick DPM2340. The vacuum pump needed replaced but I had an extra. Larger pump laying around so I hooked it up and dialed back the pressure and it worked perfectly. After we bought the new platemaker I took the pump off to make moving easier but it got misplaced somehow in one of four storage units. I can't find it which is the only reason why I'm listing"for parts" There is also a scratch on the glass but it never affected the burned image. Before bidding ask for a quote for shipping.
