Its rip has been upgraded 3 years ago with the latest rip software so that it can communicate with the latest software and workflow systems. This software purchase was $2,600. This is a Mitsubishi ctp50 instant platemaker It works well but is an older unit. It uses silvermaster film and chemicals. There is a good amount of ten inch wide plate material still in the machine. Everything works this was used in my dads print shop until November of 2013. He used it mostly for envelope runs of under 20000 impressions. Please feel free to ask any questions. The image-setter printer does not come'on-line' because it is missing some consumables. Made great plates till we went in a different direction. Highly recommend qualified equipment mover as our back door is 3-4 feet above floor level(it came in the same way just fine) Also recommend qualified setup to tweak/adjust as needed. Drawer a little tight- nothing a good tech couldn't adjust. Used several years but never heavily. We are a small shop. The technician who worked on it over the years thinks it's worth $5.000- $7,500.
