They had just purchased Linotype Hell. Right before ... morethe show) This is arguable the best drum scanner ever made, that allows the operator to scan transparencies, negatives, or even artwork/prints with extreme detail. You can literally increase the image size 3,000% We have THREE drums(these are individually balanced, high quality drums, that easily cost as much as a new Honda. Batch scanning is a breeze with the mounting station. You just put your negatives, or slides on the drum, while you are scanning the other drum in the scanner. We used this to scan hundreds of prints at a time for bookwork, and catalogs. It made group scans SO much faster than a flatbed, where you are doing them one at a time. But, now our clients send us digital files. This auction also includes the Apple G3 desktop. I have a Linotronic Hell imagesetter I need to offload. Accepts 24" wide film. I am a screen printer and I now use an Epson ink jet printer for film output. Up for auction is a used Linotype Hell Saphir Scanner(Product ELS-2000) This unit was pulled from a working system at a commercial offset print shop several years ago and has been sitting in my basement since then. I have no way of testing the unit but the unit powers up and the power light. Ready light and lamp on the scan bed all illuminate and stay lit(see pictures) That is all I can guarantee on this sale. Comes with a power cord and also what appears to be a SCSI cable. All sales are final but product is guaranteed to be as listed.
