What we have here is a large vintage motorized Light Dimmer with large Staco variac. It was made by Pilot Industrial Controls Inc. MPLS MN, USA. I believe that it started its life as an early motorized light dimmer and is mounted in very nice metal box with a latch and swing out door that looks to have been bolted to a wall. The box is about 15 inches wide. 12 inches from front to back and about 10 inches top to bottom. There is a large and cool looking Bakelite knob on the front that attached to a large Staco variac in the box. Staco Type 2510 Input- 120V Output- 0-120/140V 50/60 HZ 25A 3.50 KVA The knob is designed to have a belt(don't have the belt) that’s runs to a pulley attached to a motor a little larger then a sewing machine motor. There are 2 relays mounted on the front of the cabinet and 2 movable clamps attached to the metal ... morepart of the large knob. By moving the clamps to differ ent locations the relays will stop the motor at predetermined voltages. I have two of these but the auction is for only one! I had planed on making a foot controlled variac but never got to it. While there is no reason this should work correctly. It is untested and sold as is. Staco E3000 Variable AC DC Power Supply Variac
This is a Staco E3000 Variable AC/DC Power Supply. It has two standard grounded outlets. One is 120 volt AC and the other is 0-120 volt AC with 1.5 amp maximum output. There are two sets of banana plugs on the bottom. The yellow is for 0-14 volts AC with a 3 amp max. The black and red banana plugs are for 0-14 volts DC with 2.5 amp maximum output. This unit has two circuit breakers. One for high and one for low voltage. Only one set of variable outputs can be used at one time. The dial changes the value on all outputs at the same time. This unit has a power light and an on/off switch which is switched by a small key. The key is included. I have tested the unit on all outputs and can see no issues. The power cord end looks like some kind of replacement but I have three or four of these units and they all have the same style end. I don't ... moreknow if it came from the factory that way or not.
